Thanks! It was great getting out yesterday but used so many muscles that have sat dormant that I hurt all over by evening. I went to bed before nine. I will take it easy today. 

I got one of those chicken rotisserie at Sam’s yesterday so I'll have sandwiches with that today and either make something else with the leftovers or freeze. 

Just finished playing toss and fetch with Bijou, he had a nap while I was reading earlier so he was ready to play. This is the third very very windy day in a row and it has been unseasonably cool. In the past the lake was warm enough for me to jump in by June first but this year even if I could I wouldn't jump in yet. 

Ankle was so swollen from my excursion that this morning it has not gone down a lot. I am glad I got a big watermelon, haven't cut it up yet so I hope it is a good one. Watermelon is supposed to be anti inflammatory so I will definitely have some later.

@hullie,   I'm glad that you are free of that boot.  Break that ankle in sweet and slow.  I would love to know if your watermellon is in season or we need to wait a little longer to buy one.  They are delicious!  I'm enjoying bananas and peanut butter right now.  Hugs to you and Bijou!

@Sweet Caroline 1   @hullie  There is a new variety, Midnight, which promises to be sweet and juicy every time, also seedless, the only type I buy, so can't wait to try it.  Has to have a large yellow area on the bottom, not white.

Good evening everyone!  There was a lot of tree damage right here in my neighborhood and nearby also.  I had no idea until I saw some news bits this afternoon.  I think that many lives were lost in Kentucky, Tennessee and Missouri.  Our rough weather came during the night last night and the bold thunder woke me up but I didn't know the wind was so severe.  A lot of trees down on homes and automobiles, blocking roads.  Me and family are alright and Blessed.  

My yard man came by this afternoon and mowed, even though it rained real hard last night.  I don't like for him to mow when it's wet because I don't want him to slip or get injured on this slope.  He can't avoid it because it's been raining day after day after day.  There's no option for dry mowing.  

My nephew sent a picture to my little phone and it's all of the girls in the family.  We were much younger and thin too!  I'm going to try and get pictures of it some kind of way.  One for each sister.  I was delighted to receive that picture.  Mama is in it too!  

It's getting late and want to catch the news if I can.  Goodnight Dear Friends... Sweet Dreams!

We awoke to sunny skies and a cool 56 degrees.  This afternoon we'll get up to about 72 with no rain in sight.  Since last Friday, the 9th, we have had 7 inches of rain which caused a good deal of flooding of streams and   river.  I wish we could bottle some of that for this summer as we need it.
