Re: Good Friends Are Like Springtime

When you see this truck there are apparent problems.  We leave for church at 9:30 AM and as I was checking that the lights were off and all doors were locked, I heard Ed say, "the car won't start."  What?  Why?  All those dumb questions.

So our plans changed immediately, and we called AAA who took our information and said someone would be here by 10:45 AM to check/resolve the problem.  Shortly thereafter I got another call saying there was a mixup and he will be here in 30 - 45 minutes.  We're still waiting!

I hate to start my morning like this.  We have a battery that is about 9 months old.  So what's the problem?  We drove Friday and Saturday with no issues.  Neither of us can imagine what the problem could be.  I guess we'll soon find out.  Still waiting for AAA and trying to be patient!!!

@Sassy7356 , I agree that it doesn't seem like we have been enjoying Misty for a year. She has grown up to be a very pretty ladybug. She has the cutest personality too.

It seems like we just fell into each other's lives. Cat Happy

@AnikaBrodie   How annoying that the car won't start!
You're lucky to have AAA. I have had Ford service but it's probably expired now. I've had two batteries that died with no warning. Then I'm stranded and call my son. The last time my granddaughter got the jumper box to work. I gave her one when she got her car. She used it that day!

I hope all is fine soon!

@AnikaBrodie   Car batteries, like almost everything else made now, do not last long.  DH charges our batteries, which is something I can't imagine myself having to do.

@Sweet Caroline 1   Try to rest and try to lose the guilt.  I'm having some sister issues right now, and I'm beside myself too.  My sister and BIL, normally always helped with my dads needs.  Now, they went on a month trip, but they haven't done anything for my dad now for two months.  I'm ok with helping my dad anytime, but come on, help with some of these appts and such, now that you are back!

They ALWAYS come home sick from these long intl trips, and I feel like they are taking advantage AND they have an attitude.  Just trying my best, and taking some deep breaths.  It's HARD!   I'm trying not to get so miffed, but it's not working.  I just want some help.  If I didn't help, them for two months, THEY would have something to say.

Hey there @lynnie61,   I'm sorry that you're having family issues too.  I know it's hard.  All I can suggest is calling your sister and asking if she would mind taking your dad to the grocery store or ?.  Maybe it would get her back into the routine of sharing the help.  I'm happy for you that you still have your father.  I texted both of my sisters to apologize and share my feelings and it did some good.  Don't wait until you are emotionally damaged.  Big Hugs! Heart
