Surgeon was very happy with bone progress today. He told me he wants me to take off boot when I sit or go to bed now. I am to gently massage and wiggle foot and exercise it while sitting. I am to still wear boot when I get up to protect ankle and I can put weight on it and use whatever device I want to keep myself steady, to use the scooter if I go somewhere out of home. I am going to try a cane in the house and go slow. I am very pleased to be able to start walking. Sarah ran and got a cane and I am unsteady on it but then my foot is still extremely stiff. I'll get there. I enjoyed getting out in the sun today and now it will be easier for me to step out onto back deck. My world just got a little bigger than my chair and sofa. Still no driving obviously.

So sorry you guys had a rough time. Better days are ahead. @viva923 @I remember when I got a divorce after 18 years of marriage and I went to take my husbands name off my credit card that I had when I was a single working woman ....they told me I couldn't do it, that I had to close my credit card that I had had for thirty years. I was furious. Same discrimination on looking for a home and a mortgage. My financial advisor who took care of my half of our retirement funds after divorce stepped in and helped me to get a mortgage. It's a man's world.

           @lynnie61 & all:   The one time I dyed eggs and hid them my son was about 2. He had multi colored dye all over him. He sat on them and it rubbed off. It was on his shoes. We've always used the plastic ones ever since. 
   Everyone: I've been asking my son for several weeks what the plans are for Easter. Today my x DIL finally said we will eat about 2 (means 3 or later) at my son's house. 
   I asked what I need to bring (except cooking, they don't want that). I told him it's too late for the bakery carrot cake. But I had candy.
    I visited awhile and saw my granddaughter who was busy planning delivery of $13,000 worth of donuts people bought to help someone from bankruptcy. Crazy, her Mom is doing that tomorrow on her birthday. 
    Then I went to small Walmart that's been remodeled and found a small carrot cake, & more bags of candy, etc.

      Later after I'd cleaned the house my son asked if I had any plastic eggs to hide in his yard. I didn't recall any. His job tomorrow is to hide them in his backyard and hope Tony won't find them. 
      Cleaning upstairs I remembered a small bag of eggs. I found them in the gift, pillow closet. Texted son and asked if he needs me to get more if they're not at his house. 
     I think xDIL has them in storage when she moved to the trailer. The drama never ends! Ha! 
     @hullie  It must feel wonderful not sitting or sleeping with that boot. Please be extra careful not to injure it again.

@lynnie61 Some years I do and some I don't.  If we are having Easter dinner I do.  This year we aren't doing anything special for Easter and because of the price of eggs we aren't dying any eggs.
