I hope everyone enjoys the day!
@lynnie61, I hope that you've enjoyed your fishing trip today! I love that you make plans to do things and enjoy life. My father loved to fish and I had a boyfriend or two that lived to go fishing. I didn't enjoy fishing but enjoyed walking around the fishing sights and enjoying nature. Looking for wild ferns. Hugs!

And the biopsy from my stomach was negative for whatever they were testing for. They said that was very good vs. dealing with what it could have been.
Yesterday we were gone the entire day. My Mom had her 6-month checkup. Her doctor said she was the healthiest person he had seen all day. And, she probably will live for a few more years. That isn't what she wanted to hear. Besides getting her groceries and taking her to the bank it was a long day with our combined 5-hour drive to and fro.
Dear @Sassy7356, I'm delighted to hear that you got good results with your skin issues. And delighted to hear that your mother got a "very healthy" doctor visit. Sometimes needing to do several chores in one day can make for a long day. But a lot of good stuff got done and now you can relax at home for a bit I hope. Take care, Love ya! ![]()

@lynnie61 wrote:@Sassy7356 You are a cherished daughter! I take my dad to most appts. He will be 87 soon. He is just happy to continue to live a good life. It IS really hard to see my strong, healthy dad become fragile. But I stay strong and give him the dignity he deserves. He's my hero.
@lynnie61, Amen sister! ![]()

@Sassy7356 & all: I have an old wooden slate blackboard in the kitchen. We've used it for messages over the years.
Sunday night after my son and granddaughter left I noticed hearts drawn on the blackboard and in the middle was written:
❤️ I love you
So much ❤️
And she signed it. What s nice surprise!
Just before I got in my bed there was a silly text with photo from my son, I sent one back as I do nightly and each morning. He checks to see if I'm okay and doesn't need to say "I love you" but sometimes does.
Today after an investment meeting I took the newspaper to the store and my granddaughter was there with Tony. My son had gone for a drink.
She watched as Tony sat pretty (like begging) and waited for his treat and then before I said it laid down and crossed his paws. That's down, pretty.
I told her he has a good trainer!
Aldi had fresh blueberries, strawberries, white grapes, bananas. Their winking Owl white Zinfandel wine is better than many expensive brands at $3.95 it's a bargain. I knew as the weekend is closer they will run short in items.
Enjoy the Springtime weather! Mine is 65 today.

@AnikaBrodie, My younger sister loves Peonies and never has been a gardener. But one summer she bought and planted two Peonies shrubs and really loved and took good care of them. Her husband ran over them with the lawn mower. I thought that he was mean as the devil or dead from the neck up. To me, both apply. Old goat!

@mousiegirl wrote:@hullie I am glad to read you are recovering nicely, hopefully your doctor will give you the good news you want to hear. I think Bijou has been a comfort and companion while you are recovering.
Remmy spent as much time as me in bed while I had the worst of the cold, but he likes being on the bed, lol, maybe because he can get next to me whereas anywhere else, he is on a mat on the floor next to me except when he jumps into my lap in the kitchen, little big for my practically lapless body, short legs on me, so he keeps sliding and have to hold him, but arms give out, so back in his bed next to the chair.
Yesterday was the first time I went out without my cane, forgot it, and was nervous, but crept along and made it home safely. I keep a cane in the rec room and one upstairs as that is how we enter and exit most of the time.
Remmy sounds like a cuddler like Bijou. Yes, he has given me such comfort even though he has gotten naughty about getting into things he knows he shouldn't. Today I can't get him to go downstairs to go potty, he just sits on the deck watching the lake and birds. If I sit down he gets in my lap and I am sitting all the time. It is warming up a bit here today. Usually I am outside doing spring cleaning chores in this nice weather. Since I am feeling better I am watching a lot of tv now and reading. Got caught up on a lot of Netflix and Hulu series. I know you like being outside too, be careful out there walking around. Uneven ground can turn your ankle, I know I am going to try and be slow when walking out in my yard.

Just my thoughts, @mousiegirl , it's unsanitary.
I wouldn't pay for a lawyer when it's the home OWNERS responsibility for garbage disposal.
I wouldn't pay call the City daily until it's cleaned up. it's a health hazard. Perhaps the health department.

Hey there girls, It's still there at this time. I hate that it's there during Easter week. I hope that clean up will happen soon. Hugs!
