I loved the song "Praying for Time". Probably my favorite.

All we have to see

there was a documentary about George Michael. Not sure if it was Brit Box (or Hulu) a while back. He really was quite a pioneer, and genius at what he did.  He was one of those artists, that had so much more going than ever was known.  He was troubled, but hey, it happens. I do miss him and his talent.

Remarkable and brilliant performer.  What a talent we lost!  I don't know if he and Prince ever performed together, but to me that would be a real dream team!

George Michael said in an interview that he wrote "Careless Whisper" with his then duo partner, Andrew Ridgeley, when they were on a bus "bunking off school".  Naughty truants!  Woman Wink

It was originally credited to both of them, but changed when George went solo.

I also remember he said in an interview that he wouldn't hear a word said against Andrew.  (Someone pointed out that Andrew didn't really know how to play the guitar; so it was just for effect.)

George Michael said that, if it hadn't been for Andrew, he would never have gotten up on a stage.  He wouldn't have had the nerve to do it solo back then.  Ridgeley was a friend and a great support.

I loved Careless Whisper. My favorite song of 1985. I loved watching his video on the big screen in dance clubs.  A sad loss for people who loved his music.

Sadly, I think of all the great singers, entertainers and other wonderful people that we have lost, even going back to the days of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, Ricky Nelson, John Denver, Jim Croce, John Lennon, George Harrison, Prince, Michael Jackson, Robin Williams and recently our beloved Rob Reiner. There are so many more, too many. Smiley Sad

I was sixteen years old when JFK was killed, then Martin Luther King and RFK. Those events changed my view of the world.

I know, I got off topic. I still love to listen to the great music of the 70's and 80's and watch the videos on You Tube.
