Gasoline tax going up Wednesday in California. Is it just here. If so aren't we lucky--Ha!

Haven't seen or read anything about those taxes going up in our Midwestern State. Seems like the East/West Coasts are always raising one tax or another. Guess they are among the highest in the country for some reason unbeknownst to me. NOT!
There is 1 tax I can count on going up regularly here, Property Taxes. House values went waaaay down, Property Taxes go up. Our school systems seem to be given a blank check they can use, along with no accountability to anyone. Own a home? Pay for the schools. Wonder why more are moving to leasing and renting? Not me.

WNY $2.69 per gallon. The price hasn’t changed in months, I keep hearing the national average has dropped. It never drops here. But if you hear the price is going up you can bet it goes up immediately. Guess the “what goes up must come down” doesn’t apply in my neck of the woods.

gas for us on east coast is $2.50 a gallon. My husband who drives daily says the price is going up daily usually by 5cents a gallon.

The gas tax in the state of PA are really high. We pay 58.3 cents a gallon. I don’t think gas prices will ever be reasonable again.
Starting today, CA gas tax will be 30 cents a gallon.

Luckily, this past year, when in California, my gas has been paid for by my husband's company
I do know that gas sold in California only comes from California refineries.
California just stopped the production of 'summer gas' yesterday (11/1), whereas most states stopped a month or so ago. Summer gas is more expensive.
