Re: GLASS HALF FULL OR HALF EMPTY

I believe it is my faith that gets me through the hard times.  I tend to be a person who see's the glass half full.  Maybe because I believe, in spite of everything, the best is yet to come.

Re: GLASS HALF FULL OR HALF EMPTY

@AngelPuppy1   My DH used to tell me the same thing about being negitive. My response was the same as your's "I'm realistic."

Truth be told, I used to be more optomistic when I was young but age has changed that.  Seen and experienced too many things to have a rainbows and unicorns vision.

Let's say the glass is half full but can be knocked over in a split second.

My experiences through aging and personal experiences has done nothing but strengthen my optimism on life. This includes my good experiences, along with the bad experiences. Facing living and dying physical health issues have been many of them. I always see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel.

I've lost sight of how many of your "knocked over in a split second" I have faced during those many years. However it did not dampen my optimism of reaching that proverbial "light at the end of the tunnel", it enhanced them.

It took me over 14 years to reach "my light at the end of those many tunnels", but I always looked as those experiences as a positive, not a negative. I am now once again living my great life.

Like many, I have lost several loved ones in my family along the way. Is life fair? Is life easy? That is up to the way each individual chooses to look at it. I have always chosen optimism, and it has been my very best friend many times during my relatively long life.

@hckynut  No life is not fair or easy,  never thought is was.  As far as that  light at the end of the tunnel, I always figure it could be a train coming at me, and hope I can get my a**  off the tracks in time.

"To each be their own".  Chronological age experiences have obviously been seen and reacted to differently for you than for me.
