Funny Shipping Stories--Now's the time!

I know with all the packages coming in the next few weeks, there have to be some funny stories.  Not gripes or complaints, but surely funny stories.

Here's mine!  I had to return a package free-pickup from FedEx yesterday.  I packaged it well, put a post note on it "FedEx Pickup" and sat it on the porch.

FedEx driver comes up, picks up the box with the note AND the AMAZON package to me that Amazon had just put by the FedEx package.  Clearly an AMAZON package (large brown envelope) with the label to me!  Off he went!

Thankfully it was only $8 worth of foot stuff, so I guess being a delivery guy he could use it. . . I'll let you if the package makes it back!  Woman IndifferentWoman LOL

Re: Funny Shipping Stories--Now's the time!

I once had an Amazon package go missing (just like I have one missing right now). But back then, it was $20 worth of dog toys that Amazon refunded me for non-delivery.

Two months later, I got a plastic bag with the address label only. The post office actually delivered the address label ripped from the original box in a clear plastic bag.

Obviously, the box must have got eaten by machinery somewhere along the way, but to STILL deliver the label to show they tried or maybe made their quota with Amazon was definitely a moment, especially a couple months later.

I'm not sure what the person who took the time to wrap it in a plastic bag expected me to do with it? I almost wonder if the janitor found it sweeping up and thought it would be a funny thing to do.

It's not particularly funny but I'm still waiting on the next day 4am - 8am Amazon order I placed a week ago yesterday.  They keep telling me my order is delayed, obviously unable to bring themselves to use the word "lost".  Their messages have gotten increasingly vague on delivery time.

Today's  delivery message

@Kachina624 That gives me no hope. I might actually cancel mine now. A week is ridiculous.

Years ago some carrier, I think UPS, delivered a soaking wet package that had broken expensive vanilla in it!  Our porch and entry smelled wonderful for weeks, and I'm sure the stinky old UPS truck was nicer too!

@Sooner  I had  USPS package from JC  Pennys that the writing on outside that was all smeared and looked wet. It reaked of perfume. My first thought was not my towel order. My order but perfumed.

A few times my UPS driver mentioned his truck smelled nice when I ordered Bath and Body candles.

My Amazon packages are arriving on time. Must be dependent on location.

I once got an Ebay jewelry order in a reused wrapped Jello box.
