Stop, drop and roll, yes, these pastors are quite funny.  There is a saying that says, "God has a sense of humor" so I guess church people should too.  I've heard some very funny sermons in my days.  I don't think we can get through life w/o a good sense of humor.  I wonder if it doesn't save tears sometimes.  

I enjoy reading what the markee says in front of churches.  I wonder if there isn't a book that they share with each other.  Some are SO good!!!

Those signs can be an effective way of messaging people who are in a hurry and bombarded with other competing visuals all day long-- a little humor grabs attention!

I've seen signs that range all the way from profound to silly to questionable.  The key for me seems to be to refine down to punchy essentials.  My favorite from a "rubber-meets-the-road" perspective of these signs is the one that says--  "When life is more than you can stand--  kneel."  That sign sums up a whole lot of what it wants to convey, in a few words.
