Re: Friends Here - Rain or Shine

it's a cool 63, and windy. We've had about three walks and several outs today. I went the large Walmart and found beach items, towel, sunscreens etc for my granddaughter's birthday in June. Also vitamins and frozen

dinners.
My son insists on coming, not eating and feeding Tony and walking. So, I grabbed a donut, that's dinner I guess. He hadn't wanted  anything I suggested.
On our walk around the circle the man at the end had just blown his leaves from all around his front into the street. I've politely asked if he wouldn't do that because people walk and ride bikes and it's dangerous. I drove fast going by to blow them back. It didn't work. I might wait until later and wind has died down to blow them back but off the road.  The club paid a crew to blow them.  Maybe not. My sinuses are not enjoying the pollen. I've been doing mine too much plus watering trees. I think three or more trees are dying from drought. Sad!
     Time for son and Tony!

@Sweet Caroline 1   Our dentist wants both of us to have crowns at a cost of $3,000 each, forget that, outrageous.  I told DH that at our age, if the tooth is near the back, we do not need a crown, just have them removed.  I have been missing some in the back for years and it hasn't bothered me or show.

Even though I don't live near an ocean I still love to sit on lakeshore and listen and watch.

@Sassy7356 , I have seen the ocean twice. The first time was in Corpus Christi, Texas when I was a teenager. Then we went to Disneyland in Anaheim,  CA, and we spent some time by the ocean.  My DH lived in CA. when he was in the Marines. We were not yet married when he lived there.

Very majestic, and so amazing. I have always loved the sounds from the ocean.

@Sassy7356  @Tissyanne   One of the best features of California is the ocean that runs the length, so many beaches, water is warmer in Southern Ca.  The ocean brings me peace, used to stare at it for hours when on any beach.

Happy Sunday darling friends!  It's a beautiful sunny day here today.  My favorite! Smiley Happy It turned off cold here and I've had to turn my heater on.

Right now I'm washing some new towels that I bought.  I was running low on towels, I use them for several things.  I always buy white linens so that I can use bleach in the wash.  I like towels that are on the thinner side because they don't take forever to dry and wear out my clothes dryer.  These new ones could be thinner but they will become thinner over time and use.

I cooked the squash yesterday and I have no idea what to eat today.  I'm thinkig about a pineapple sandwich.  We had them when we were small and Rocky reminded me about them.  I have some pineapple tidbits to use.

I have some poison ivy around the right side of my front stairs and I need to mix up some brush killer to put on it.  It spreads all over the place quickly.  It needs to get gone before I lay down the fabric weed blocker in my planted pots area.  Getting the pot areas prepared.

That's about all I've got for now.  I'm having a wonderful day and I hope that you are too!  Blessings for peace and happiness dear friends!  Love you! Heart

@Sweet Caroline 1   This is what I eat when I don't feel like much, great for losing weight, and yummy.

I buy the Spring Mix loose in the produce market, but the box is fine IF you can find a box that has dry greens, not wet, not easy to find here.  I spread a thin layer of mayo on the Ed's thin sliced 20 grain and seed bread, then stuff with the greens and fold over, I use one slice of bread at a time just in case I can't eat a whole sandwich, and dot the edges of greens sticking out with a teeny bit of mayo.  This is filling, healthy, and low cal.
