Never liked things on the refrigerator. I do have a magnetized calendar on the side of ours.

IG is right, my fridge.  I put menu, recipes, or whatever stuff there. Sometime cute jokes or dog or animal pictures.  Sort of a bulletin board.

My husband’s a fridge magnet maniac. I think they’re tacky, but he loves them. At the end of every season I throw the sports schedule ones away. It could be worse. . .

but once I got a wood door, no I have not missed

It may look tacky but I have them on the side of my fridge.  When we travel or go to concerts, we no longer buy mugs, t-shirts, etc. so we started collecting magnets to reminence where we’ve been or who we’ve seen. Yes it may be tacky but for we love it.

I have a nice little collection and I love them BUT when we moved into our house 7 years ago the fridge that came with the house had a smooth surface and every time I opened and closed the doors they would slide.... and I didn't notice (at first) that they were scratching the door  !Off they came and I'll be far more careful with the next fridge.....
