I believe "everything in moderation".  I doubt ONE drink is going to hurt anyone, unless they have some sort of condition...

@bargainsgirl I absolutely agree, everything in moderation.

this is slightly off topic, but I don't drink. When I did I think well drinks were about dollar, and call was 1.50. lol.  I find the price of drinking out expensive ( or paying for it, lol)...especially if you are the Grandma and paying for the kids, and grands!! Not too long ago we were at a decent place near LA,  beer, glass of wine or mixed drinks were about 16-22@ depending .  My bar tab was close to 200. With tip and tax for about 9 drinks.  The meals weren't much more, lol.  What do you pay for a bar or restaurant drink.?

By coincidence we were discussing this at dinner tonight with friends. At the restaurant where we ate, cocktails were $8-$13, beers $8-$10, wine $10-$12 glass.

For comparison, at my favorite bubble tea shop both fruit smoothies and bubble tea run $10-$12 depending upon size. I think that high price is due to crazy-high rent at that particular mall.

Everything has grown expensive.

I love a good Old Fashioned or a Mai Tai.  We live 5 minutes from a resort and the restaurant (Lei Lei's in case you visit) has the BEST Mai Tais on the island.  I could go for one now!

Yumm I love a Mai Tai.

Someone mentioned prices- oh yeah super expensive for a fancy mixed drink in a nice restaurant. $13-20 is typical these days. So I typically avoid those drink menus and order Prosecco or beer.

However on my 75th birthday in July, Im  going for a French 75 🤩

@SurferWife I love to sip on a good Old Fashioned.  I tried one on a cruise while sitting in the piano bar.  It was so good.
