Do you and your DH agree on brands?  Any item that one can't budge on?

We agree on several items, but mostly, not.  He will often bring in a "store brand" that I really have been dissasisfied with and think it's fine.

I like Charmin  He likes store tissue

I like Bounty Napkins  He brings in store

I prefer name brand canned items, he'll bring in store with misshaped pieces, and pieces of tomato skin, for instance.

There are brand names we agree on like soy sauce, salad dressing.

We agree on Heinz catsup and Dukes mayo.

LOL No not at all ECBG because I do all the grocery shopping so that takes care of the problem.  Never trust a man turned loose in a grocery store lol; just kidding.

@crawford5153 OMG!!!  When he goes we have cookies and ice cream all over the place!!!

I got filled donuts today at the store and will go back tomorrow to get the ice cream and a few other things.  We were getting Krispy Kreme donuts every time we went to the lake as the store was on our way but had to cut that out for awhile as per the doc lol.  We would buy 2 dozen at a time too.

ECBG, Now if you pass it each day I can fully understand how tempting it would be not to stop.  Sweets are my weakness and have always been since I was a small child.  When my parents went to the store I got my goodies and put in the cart also.  I had my own "special" cabinet I stored my goodies in also lol.

We don't argue about brands...and when we shop together it is mostly fresh produce so few brands.

We do favor a different water, so we just buy both.   He likes vegan Follow Your Heart Ranch dressing (I make my own dressing which he also likes), so we always have that Ranch dressing on hand for him.

@ECBG

Brands? Yes.  Types of foods? Not even close!

DH will not set foot in a grocery store. He will go to Costco with me where he will eat a hot dog and look at the books. The only food brand  he has ever cared about is Heinz ketchup and his coffee. Must be Heinz ketchup and Starbucks Sumatra decaf...other than that, he eats and uses whatever I buy...I am loyal to several brands but am willing to try others. Sometimes I find the Kirkland signature brand from Costco to be as good or better than the name brand it seeks to be. Gotta have my Tide, Peter Pan, and Cascade though.

Some brands I won't budge.

Smuckers peanut butter, jams and preserves.

Hershey's Cocoa

Bounty Select-A-Size paper towels

Perdue chicken

Tide laundry detergent

Weimer's Stainless Steel cleaner and polish

Duncan Hines cake mixes

Hungry Jack instant mashed potatoes

Brummel and Brown low calorie margarine with yogurt

F A G E Greek yogurt

General Mills Wheaties cereal

There are others, but that's a good start.

@Foxxeeyour post made me laugh.  I love Bounty Select-A-Size paper towels.  If I accidentally bring home the "regular" paper towels, I'll reluctantly use them.  Did you see that Brawny now has "Tear-A-Square" paper towels?  I haven't tried these yet.
