Is there a way to TOTALLY block any/every one seeing what you like, follow... on facebook?

I am sure my settings are set to very private but I just don't like people seeing what I like or follow.

I only 'like' or 'follow' so that I can keep track of an event or a business that I want to have access to.

Friend list is very small, and I NEVER interact with them.  I only wanted facebook to sell a few items now and then.

"Only Me" option in Followers and Public Content.

The people you are following can see that you are following them.

@geezerette    I will double check but I am sure I have that 'checked'.

I realize this is not a big deal but. I 'followed' a public post so that I could remember an event that I wanted to attend...I guess when I do that it is public (as my name is made public) or the few friends I have can see that I followed that post...not sure which.

I guess it bugs me knowing that anyone can see that I followed a particular post.

Generally I copy and paste anything I want to save and put it into a folder on my desktop.  When I logged into facebook earlier a friend 'liked' my response to a post....I did not post anything I only indicated  I was interested in the post.

Yes I realize it is petty but I dont like it, I don't think there is a work around, probaby following or indicating 'interested' is public.

@Mom2Dogs I created a separate FB account with a made up name.  I have no friends and nothing on my profile on this other account. The associated email is an alternate email address that I sometimes use.  I use this separate FB account more than I do my own, because I interact with public pages and sell things using Marketplace without anyone knowing my real name (much safer).  My friends and family have no idea I have an alternate identity.  lol  If you decide to do this, it is so easy, but you will have to create a new email account (if you don't have a second one already) and associate it with the new FB account.

@Ainhisg  I need to do that.  I have nothing on my profile account....and just 3 friends.

I only wanted facebook to sell on Marketplace then a friend 'friended' me..ugh.

Now to come up with a fake email...as far as what I have listed under my current name, I guess I can delete and then re list the items?

@Ainhisg @Mom2Dogs  I know someone who did this. Somehow FB figured it out and the fake page was deleted and the person with their real name was in FB  "jail" for 2 weeks.  Just FYI.

I don't know the answers but I don't like everyone knowing every little thing I follow or post on either @Mom2Dogs . I understand!

Also, you can save posts by clicking on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and it has a place where you can put that it's only for you. I don't know if that interests you or not.

Public pages are just that--public.  Any interaction you have with them other than simply viewing the page is 'public'.

@geezerette, I'm not the OP but thank you for this. I just went to check mine and changed it to this setting. That makes me feel better. I'm very private about things and don't like everyone to know every single little thing I do.

@Qgirl26   Yes, that might work, thanks
