I am the Queen of reactions. If there a reaction to be had, I get it. But that has never stopped me from getting a vaccine. I've been getting flu shots for 30 years. The one year I didn't get it because of a vaccine shortage, I got the flu. I worked with the public my whole life so I'm sure that's how I got it.

  The worst reaction I ever had was from the first Shingles shot. I was on the couch,or in bed for five days. Then another two or three days before I felt human again. It made me very leery to get the second one, but I did and was okay in three days.

   I have never had the senior flu shot. My doctor said to stick with the regular one for now. And, for me, to never get more than one vaccine at a time.

when Covid shots first came out was I was nervous as I have an aversion to shots since my first flu shot in 1968.  It was the live one, I worked in hospital, and nurses asked if I was going to get one, I said why not. lol. Half the hospital was out next day, Drs included. It was the throw up, and the scoots lol. I just never got flu after that, and didn't get new ones. I did get Covid Shots, I got Pfizer and no side effects, sore arm.   My husband got moderma and got. A little sick when he mixed with flu as well.  Many people I know who got moderma had reaction..maybe a fluke. Otherwise I guess I brush with danger. Got Covid's but no other shots. Never had Covid or flu. But I did get food poisoning from some Chinese food....that was a three day killer.

I just got my flu shot along with the first of the new pneumonia vaccine.  No reaction except my arm was a tiny bit sore.

Normally I don't have reactions to them.  However I got a covid and a flu at the same time a couple years ago.  I had chills and ached the rest of the day and part of the next morning.  It was one of those stay in bed, sleep and watch TV kind of days.  This year I think I'll get the covid and RSV at the same time if they will let me.

I have never had a Flu or Covid vaccine.

I have had a few other vaccines in my lifetime, like tetanus and was never bothered by them.

I'm not anti-vax, but I will be passing on both of those this year.

I've had three flu shots in my adult life and all three times, months later, I was unbelievably sick.

I've gotten colds occasionally, but nothing like the years I got flu shots.

My Doc said he wouldn't have believed it if he didn't know my history, but he has since left the flu shot decision to me.

Re: FLU SHOT TIME......

[ Edited ]
Got my flu shot last week no problems. I'll be flying home next week visiting family already have my appointment for covid vaccination not available in my state thanks to fill in the blank health care. He will remain nameless. Have fun guessing who?

Edited - Removed his initials. Don't want to start a war. 🙈🙉🙊

@Laura14

Thank you for this information.  I do have an upcoming checkup with my primary care physician this fall and will question him about this.  Not very long ago this would have not been an issue....
