@UpNorthGorgy  I'm sorry you are having such a rough go with this. It's not right to suffer like you are.

Yes, same instructions for me.  One night in the hospital, then home.  I invited my son to have a P.J. party with his mom for two nights to help me out.  Of course he said yes, but kiddingly said "only if there are good snacks!".  LOL!  😃

I will be on my own after my son leaves.  But a good friend and good neighbors have offered help with anything I need.  

There are all kinds of "helper" type things for post-surgery, all on Amazon.  Lots of good YouTube videos, too, by physical therapists that show you how to manage dressing, getting in/out of bed, how to properly use a cane or walker, getting in a car, etc.  Very helpful.  A PT will come to my home for 2-4 weeks to help with those instructions, and exercises of course.

@LdyBugz Your experience reminds me of a friend who had the exact same thing happen to her recently. She said the driver was still parked out in front of her house so she called out and informed him that the envelope was empty. He asked her what was supposed to be in it and she said "a bra". She said the look on his face was priceless.

@LdyBugz  Thankyou. I can stay with my friend and her husband who have dog sat so he we go along. Lucky that your son is able to help out. It sounds fun to visit and have a nice time.

I expect to go in to the Hospital twice a week for PT. I can set up a ride appointment schedule and the little transit bus can take me in for $2 a trip.  I live close, five miles. I have some friends who can help.

The PT has told me about the cane as I was using it on my right painful side and said use on the left. I don't have hopes of PT working. I feel a  only a slight relief along with Celebrix. I am eating Tylenol every eight hours. I never took so much in my life. I hate moving so slow. It is depressing. Too cold to do anything anyway.

I am on Utube alot and will check out some videos and talking to people who have had hips done. That's a good idea and good Ole Amazon. I hope all goes well. At least we can go home with in the day.
