well,my holiday weekend has started early.this must be how retired folks feel.now,if I have no emergencies with teeth,broken bones etc,I will be on cloud nine.happy 4th everyone!

I retired on December 31.  I used to wonder how my mother in law never knew what day it was.  Now some days I wake up and think, wait what day is it.  It's not all bad.  Just doing stuff on my own schedule.

@Luvsmyfam @Luvsmyfam   And on the other end of the spectrum.... I'm still working and will be this weekend.  My workplace is a 365, 24/7 operation.  I love my job, though, so I'm not complaining.

in all my years of working,I've had to work plenty of holidays.did I like it?not so much.but I did it,and always thought it would be a feather in my cap with both companies.guess what?didn't phase bosses at all.non to say,im still at both places 40 yrs later
