Re: Don’t you just miss them

Just adding: consider also that many are yet experiencing technical difficulties signing in, shopping, reading and posting to these forums since the latest changes to the website.

Some of your friends (as I know a few of mine are) could be among them.

Whatever the case may be. . . hoping they turn up soon!

Re: Don’t you just miss them

I miss some people when they aren't around.  But I'm kind of weird about privacy so I just hope all is well and they are living their lives and doing well.   This place isn't somewhere that people NEED to be all the time and some are more prolific than others.

I did see a pity party thread from one of the people mentioned, so that one's here.  I don't visit all the forums here (so many!), so I never know if somebody might just be spending more time on forums where I don't see them.

Re: Don’t you just miss them

I think people are expecting too much from these QVC boards. Since the boards are so heavily moderated you cannot discuss anything of substance that may cause people to argue. I don't really look at who's posting, but what threads are even worth posting to.

Re: Don’t you just miss them

@dex Thank you for your words of encouragement about my cat (Katie).  Normally it doesn't matter that the only way I can get near her is when I'm laying down in bed watching TV.  If I even twitch my leg she jumps up and leave the room!  Ha!  I feel sorry for her because it must be terrible to be so afraid like that.

But it is very, very frustrating.  I thought it was all planned so I could get her teeth cleaned (and some need pulling) (the last time I did it, it worked)....this time....no way.  It was after 2:00AM when I finally said, "Enough!  It's not happening today"!  My friend showed up at 6:00AM to take her to the Vet (she's the nurse and helped me adopt Katie) and I came out sand said, "Couldn't catch her".  We've been through this over and over.

Anyway, as far as posting.  I didn't say I'd stop.  However, I do realize I post a lot (as some have been kind enough to point out...Ha!).

I am also aware that (like now) it's too much.  So, I do understand I need to step back a little.

This weekend will be the test.  I usually post more on the weekend because my family is busy and my friend goes shopping.  I get bored easily and post while watching TV.

There's a book I just bought and want to read.  I used to read all of the time but my eyes started bothering me.  My goal is to take out the book and start reading it!

Stay tuned.  I'm really trying to not post so much....

@chickenbutt   That’s actually a good point, about all the different forums.   Some of us who have been here a long time, have at times, spent more time in one area of this board, than another.   This started to happen more often, when more forums were added.

Even within one area, such as beauty or fashion, many of us used to post together, and now we’re in different sub forums.

@Annabellethecat66 Animals certainly know how to control us.We love them and sometimes I wonder if we don’t need them more than they need us.

Could be a few of these are just one person with multiple accounts and something happened to their health and can no longer post. Or got banned for multiple accounts. Seems fishy all of a sudden gone, without one coming back.

Re: Don’t you just miss them

@blackhole99  I know just what you mean. If you can’t talk about things you really care most about it’s really limiting. What happened to debating a subject without getting personal. I don’t understand people that can’t debate there side of a topic without getting pesonal. It’s a topic, not what people are on the inside. I guess it’s how they were raised, education....who knows? Debating stuff has always been fun for me, but only with people that don’t get personal and freak out because you don’t agree with them.
I like hearing other peoples ideas and expressing mine. I learn a lot. Plus it gets the old adrenaline going and it can be fun. I used to really debate stuff with people and after we were done we could agree to disagree and still be good friends. It seems like these days people only like to be friends with people that share the same opinions they do. Very sad. You don’t grow and learn nearly as much.

Moderators are needed keeping the peace. Example host bashing.
