Wedesday when I was letting my step-daughters puppy out, I slipped on the only patch of ice on her deck.I went down hard, broke my shoulder, at the top, it shifted the 'rod' that goes into the shoulder...intense pain.  I have no idea how I got up and drove to my house.

I had surgery on Friday...initially I was told it could be a week before the surgery, so thankful I only had to live with pain for 3 days.  Meds helped but the arm was dead weight.

Next step, having my husband help me wash my hair...he wins nurse of the year award.

@Moms2Dogs I really felt your pain while reading your Post. Get all the rest you can. It really helps. Isn't it great having your husband as your nurse? They are the best. My husband loved bath time and he always did a terrific job.

@Mom2Dogs  OUCH!!!  So sorry for your mishap.  It's never a good time for falls and surgeries, but to have it happen during the holiday season is the worst.  Here is wishing you a speedy recovery.

I am so so sorry to hear about your accident.  Was it your right or left shoulder?  Be thankful you have a husband that is willing and able to help you with this.

Prayers for a speedy recovery!

I had total shoulder replacement several years ago and can relate to your pain and situation.  Isn't it a pain (literally) how you can find the only ice spot on a deck?

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.
