On Tuesday niight's Dancing With the Stars a country song was previewed with multiple country stars, beginning with Reba. I got a phone call just as they began singing. I would like to hear the rest of it but have forgotten the song they sang. Does anyone remember the name of the song. Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't watch DWTS but the new song/video with 30 country stars is Forever Country.  Although I thought it started out with Brad Paisley singing John Denver's Country Road.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/21/entertainment/forever-country-music-video/

The music video has country singers, new and old, in this mashup of three of country's most well-known songs: "Take Me Home, Country Roads," "On The Road Again," and "I Will Always Love You."

"I didn't think one song could encapsulate all of country music, so I pitched the idea of doing a mashup of a couple songs and blending them together," "Forever Country" director Joseph Kahn told CNN. "I was told that's never going to work. I pitched something crazy and Shane [McAnally] made it reality."

I (like most people) like some Country music.  I guess most of what I like is called modern Country.  My middle daughter is 41 now, but ever since she was little every time she ever heard Alan Jackson on the radio she'd say, "Don't change that mommie, I like his voice".  This from a kid who is rock and roll forever!

Country music can stir something in people that no other form of music can.  Ever notice how you feel somehow more patriotic when you hear a country song?  What is it makes many of us feel that way (especially when he (or she) is singing about "love gone wrong").  Ha!  The singer is just standing up there (sometimes playing music) but usually just standing there and singing....yet it makes me want to stop and listen.  They aren't gyrating and jumping all around the stage with others up there doing the same, they're just singing.

Don't get me wrong...I like some of the gyrating and everything else that goes with some of these rock and rollers.  Heck!  I'm 70 but I adore Eminem, yes, I love his music and some of his words (when I can understand them)  Ha!

But, good grief....Country music just has something that's real (and I can understand the words).  It makes me listen, much like the music I used to listen to when I was a teenager.....Phew!  Now I'm exhausted...gotta go, I hear my man Garth coming on....

Don't know if the song I'm looking for is on this album. It seems that each artist sings a song individually on it. The one I saw (at the beginning) was one song that added various artists as the song progressed.

I have never been big on country but I have liked many individual songs over the years. I do agree that you can mostly understand the lyrics. Really not big on rap and most modern music. SHowing my age now. I was a rock-n-roller.

Hoping someone saw DWTS and remembers the song.

Thanks for your help. I finally got it. It was the mix but DWTS only showed the segment that began w/Reba. Thanks for the link sparklestar, where I found the complete version.

I agree with you.   I have always said with country singers, the men look like men and the women look like women.  I will probably get booed for that comment, but it is JMO.

Fear not Brothers and Sisters! I have read THE BOOK..........we win!!!
