When I was a young girl, we only got the paper on Sunday and we went to the local store and purchased it.  This was back when the paper was big - full of sections, magazines, comics, coupons -- the works!  We would all sit with our pieces of the paper and have a ball and would be entertained for a long time.

We subscibe to the local paper, but it is not a good one at all -- and it is expensive!  It is delivered - if you can call it that!  It is thrown from a moving car and it's hard to tell where it will end up!  Some days are missed all together.  I would discontinue getting it, but DH enjoys reading a "printed" version.  It's something that gives him a bit of happiness.  He sits in his comfy chair with his paper, coffee, and the t.v. news!

I stopped the newspaper 30+ years ago. Papers in my state are biased. I want facts.

I get my news from certain reputable news sites and sources.

There are 2-3 specific people I'll watch on YouTube but nothing else there.

Re: Do you…..

[ Edited ]

We stopped our morning paper many years ago. Our delivery person insisted on throwing it in the bushes and not in plastic bags in the rain, so couldn't read it. We wanted just the Sunday paper, but had to purchase the entire weekly paper and the cost increased to a ridiculous sum.

Here we order The New York Times on Sunday. I love the arts section, Book Reviews and magazine. DH (from NY) likes to read the rest, but sometimes takes him days.

I used to love USA Today if still published, but wasn't delivered until the next day...old news.

Many papers and magazines have gone to online because so many people have canceled subscriptions.

No more hard copy paper here.  Dad always savored the WSJ every day.  Can still see him in his chair 💕

I do have a few online subscriptions.

Yes.  My husband and I have a ritual. Our paper is delivered to our paper holder every morning.  We read it together in our den.  He in his recliner...me in mine. Usually it's during the morning news on tv.

I cancelled home delivery of our newspaper because too many deliveries were missed. They would issue a credit instead of a replacement copy.

Back in the day, we had newspaper delivery seven days a week.  Now, we get a newspaper delivered on Sundays only for DH.
