LOL. So True. I watched a show years ago called It Takes a Thief where they showed homeowners how to secure their homes. They did say the Thieves may skip your house for one without the barking dog.

I worked with a woman years ago who said her dog would bark at the TV if there was a doorbell ringing in whatever they were watching but never barked
when their own doorbell rang! 😂

My Doodle JUST barked at a tv doorbell lol.

I'm very gentle about making her stop barking when warranted.  I want her to bark if she detects danger so I have to be gentle about telling her she doesn't need to bark at something.  It's a fine line.
