Re: Direct TV and the loss of another channel

I have the old UVERSE from ATT (I know, I'm probably the only customer left on the planet) we have 400 channels in our package and STILL cannot find anything to watch.  I have contemplated DirectTV (UNTIL NOW) reading this thread.  Streaming exclusively?  Well, I am just not there yet. Anyways, I don't know the point of this post, except I guess that all these companies are a necessary evil for one reason or another.  Even streaming isn't foolproof if your internet connection is lousy. UGH!!!

Re: Direct TV and the loss of another channel

I'm so annoyed as switched from Directv to Dish as my DTV kept going up in price and not having some channels I wanted. I got on DISH mainly because it had MeTV and I like watching the old shows and DTV doesn't carry it. Well, shortly after I subscribed to DISH they quit carrying MeTV as well and one of my fave local news channels.

That's interesting because I have DISH and still have MeTv.

You may want to check to see if your local MeTv station is operated by Mission or White Knight Broadcasting.

Mission has pulled our local FOX and CW stations since last year because of a contract dispute.

Re: Direct TV and the loss of another channel

I have DirecTV too and have 3 channels missing. ABC is one of them.

My sister as Dish and was without CBS for 3 months.

I can't believe how everything for satellite, cable, etc, comes down to the wire. They should be negotiating 6-9 months ahead of time and ensure there aren't any gaps, blacked out stations.
