are you a puzzler? Last year I decided to try jigsaw puzzles. Had never been involved in this hobby. Looked like fun. Bought a nice puzzle board from Amazon. My NAUGHTY kitties made it impossible- jumping onto the board, stealing pieces, ( random chewed pieces are still showing up in odd places haha), climbing and clawing the felt board the minute I turned my back.
I see on Amazon a rolling puzzle table. It has drawers to hold the pieces(magnetic closures), a lucite cover that might prevent my cats from getting to the puzzle. What do you think?

Haha kitties and puzzles don't work.
I would work on the puzzle and watch kitty so he wouldn't bat pieces off, when I was
done, I'd cover it carefully with a sheet, so kitty couldn't go on the card table
and bat pieces all over the house.

The kitties might still get in the puzzle with just a cover in it and I found over time those little wooden drawers fall apart. They are really cheaply made. I use one like below and the kitties don't bother it. You cover it up and you can even put it away and not disturb the puzzle.

My mom liked doing puzzles and there was always set up at work to work on at lunch or breake. Myself, I don't have the patience and would not last 5 minutes working on one. Enjoy yourself and watch those kitties.

Your post made me laugh.
I'm an avid puzzler (started during Covid), but, sadly, all my kitties are gone, so no batting or chewing of pieces. I'm not sure I would have puzzled when I had a houseful of cats, but that's OK.
I could never use any of those puzzle boards and still just work on a large foam board until I'm done.
Of course, I have no mischief makers in my house. Hoping you find a good solution!
Puzzling is an amazing hobby...there are worldwide competitions for speed puzzling and every manner of puzzler along the way.
I'm very slow, but still love it.

I had the same issue with my cats. I have a puzzle board with drawers and also a cover to put over as well. Works for me.
I usually start a puzzle after Christmas.

I have been toying with the idea of doing a jigsaw puzzle then framing it for a wall hanging. I have seen some beautiful ones.

I have been working jigsaw puzzles since I was a kid. Love them. Good way to pass the time. Over the years I have glued many of them and hung them. Last Christmas I splurged and bought one very similar to the picture . Came with 6 felt like squares to separate pieces out. I plan on using one of the lights I bought during yesterday's TSV to give me more light while working puzzles. I have a 1000 piece Charlie Brown Christmas puzzle to start. The largest I have ever done is 5K. Cats at time can present issues. It's all about them.
. Happy puzzle solving.
