Welcome dear friends and visitors to the Bird's Nest

Among the trees is a bird's nest,

and in the nest her three eggs rest,

and in each egg, Hush, you'll be heard!

There lies asleep A tiny bird.

Re: December 2018 Bird's Nest

So good morning everyone!! Yesterday I got really excited for a few minutes. Was in WM and saw this GREAT sweater. It was a fluffy white and across the front was a Black Scottie - aka Conrad. Got so excited but they had nothing smaller than an XL, I may zip to the Redlands WM today to see if they have them smaller. I would have loved to have had one of those sweaters - do I need a sweater - but that was Conrad!!

thanks Bernie for getting us started today -  December sure got here fast did it not? Am freezing right now . Brrrr.

Got really angry with Ditty yesterday. He nailed a bird and had the nerve to do that in my carport. Mother always fed the stray cats and all the birds - guess I inherited that but she had a monster water gun and it is still here and works. Could not use it with the kiddies around but may pull it out again. She would nail every and any cat who messed with her birds. Anyway Ditty knows he made my bad boy list. Do not tell me what cats normally do - not at this house however.

Have a good day one and all.

Re: December 2018 Bird's Nest

I hope you find your sweater @Winifred  I understand how you feel about the bird.

The sharpshinned hawk and I go at it all of the time, lol.  That's kind of the natural order of things I guess however we have an arrangement that the hawk must do carry out.  If you nail a pigeon in my yard and try to eat it in my yard I will take it from you.  Took that hawk a long time to learn the lesson.

Oliver and Oscar (cats from down the street) continue to lurk in my yard.  So far I have only seen Oscar snatch one sparrow - it was how I met Oscar.  I chased him out of the yard.  The idiot down the street who claims Oliver and Oscar used to keep his garage door up in the summer/fall.

Last time I drove out of the neighborhood in that direction I noticed the garage door is closed.  Makes no sense with winter coming.

Bernie,   Thank you for the new home for December.   Can't believe we're here already, but then time does get away from me.

Rainy and cool here, but luckily no severe storms overnight like in OK and other areas.

@Winifred  I know you don't like shopping online, but I would try Walmart online, think of it as saving congestion on the highway by shopping online.  I get free shipping as I make sure I buy enough in order to get that, and it isn't high.  I buy all sorts of items such as some food, fertilizer, etc., etc.
