Brought some cinnamon raisin bagels, coffee and have one of those covered fire pits if anyone want to sit out for a spell. No rain here - yet - or maybe not at all today. Go some hefty blankets here also. Do not like sitting out much in frigid weather but always a good thing to do with friends. Anyone have special plans for the day?

Davey went with his Dad - house is super quiet. i mentioned at the Birds Nest I was upset with Ditty - he nailed a bird. That is a no  no at this address. Still fed him this morning but lectured him again.

Have a great day everyone. Anyone done decorating yet? Not sure I will do much, just cannot do what I once did. Sigh. Have a great day everyone!

I will finish decorating today or tomorrow. I'm really happy because everything I orderedfor a gift has arrived, and all the packages I sent out reached their destination, I always worry. We are having unseasonably warm weather in my part of NY state, so it is a good time to decorate the porch . I hope everyone has a great weekend !

Thanks for shoring up the Fence @Winifred  I don't think the weather is permitting for me to do the lights along the gutter on the attached garage, however I might be able to string up the set of lights around my front porch.  

I left the harvest looking wreath on the front door through November.  This is the weekend for me to decorate for Christmas.  It's all a matter of getting it going.  Once I start, I do fine.

I still have issues with the two cats from down the street.  I don't know if I mentioned it here or just at the Bird's Nest.  Oliver and Oscar, two cats that wear/wore collars with their address.  I talked to the owner the first time I spotted Oliver in my yard.  He came to me and I picked him up and carried him through the house to take him home.  Thanks to Oliver my left chest is scarred for the rest of my life - he pushed off of me when I didn't expect it.  Anyway, the idiot at the address said, oh yea he's cool, he lives outside.

Within the month, I met Oscar - he'd just snatched a sparrow off of the patio.  I found Oscar's collar when I was mowing the lawn about a month or so later and just walked it down the street and put it in idiots mailbox.

Oliver runs like he-- when he sees me or I knock on the kitchen window.  Oscar runs when I chase him - last spotted Oscar on Thanksgiving night.

My guess is that Ditty did what he had to do to survive and can't shake the instinct to snatch a bird.  I think that's Oliver and Oscar's problem too.

Shopping all done, decorating NOT!!

Hello all! All the decorating is done.Presents bought. Now just have a ton of wrapping to do.Outside lights on the porch.No longer put lights up on the eaves of the roof,as I don't need DH falling off the roof!Sure does take a lot longer to get things done now as the years go by but can still do them.After all the snow a few days ago,now it's raining and will be in the 40's the next two days.Thanks for inviting me,love the bagels!Have a great week-end.

Boy,you all are putting me to shame. We have not gotten one decoration done and only a few gifts bought. Seems as tho each year I start later and later.

It’s very warm here in Va. today,tomorrow is to be in the 60’s 😁.

maybe with the nice weather I’ll get some shopping done,some things I just have to see before buying them,but I still do a lot of online shopping

my pre lite tree is up thanks husband, that is all he does, so I am suppose to decorate it & end of holiday take it all down, no more, tree is pretty with just the lights, only 4 of us since family lives out of state so less is more, went to dollar tree got these little stuffed santas, mouse, elfs etc..put a few in the bathrooms in a corner near sink, all around the house kitchen, family room they are so cute. yes wreath just little things that pop around. Husband printed out my address labels for the Christmas cards, saves alot of time not to address each one but sad because some family died, just down to 15 cards now. tomorrow I will get into the totes get out santa cookie jar & other things. Everything is wrapped just waiting for 1 gift to get delivered. It took me 3 days to do it because after a few gifts got fed up then walked away. Since only 4 of us I don't bake cookies or pies if I need that just buy it.

Today it was sunnier and warmer so I decided to grab a few more strings of lights and start all over on the front porch.  It rained a little but I didn't get wet.

Front Porch.  See the big fat evergreen shrub?  Gerry the groundhog lives behind it, under the concrete porch.

Front of house in the bay window.  This little decoration hasn't been out at Christmas since my husband's last Christmas in 2006.  I gave away the illuminated train set I used that year but I could never ditch the little snowman so I finally brought him back out.

The 'wreath' I found at Rite Aid for dirt cheap years ago.  Bow shaped with a cardinal nest in the middle.  I had the flash off of the camera so I apologize for the dark photo.
