Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

Hello my friends! Beautiful day here today after the rain!  Today I sliced all the bread I made yesterday with the electric knife and froze them.  Got laundry done and Georgia came to cut our hair.  Linus has his hair cut by her too now. She comes late enough for him to get home from work.  Then Linda comes up to visit.  Georgia is a life long friend of Linda's.  It was because of Linda that I have Georgia for my stylist and she comes to our place. When she comes she writes on the calendar when she comes again, I like that.  What are your blessings?  I'm sure you have many to share, right?

Give control of your life to God and humbly live in His presence.
Lord, I humbly desire that Your will be my will and that we always
walk together.
S C R I P T U R E   F O R   T H E   D A Y

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
~Psalm 46:10

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

There is no limit to what we can accomplish in helping others.  We can
keep that thought always.  We need never relinquish any work or give up
the thought of any accomplishment because it seems beyond our power.
God will help us in all good work.   We only give it up if we feel that
it's not God's will for us.  In helping others, we can think of the tiny
seed under the dark, hard ground.  There is no certainty that, when it
has forced its way up to the surface, sunlight and warmth will greet it.
Often a task seems beyond our power, but there is no limit to what we
can accomplish with God's help.

P R A Y E R   F O R   T H E   D A Y

I pray that I may never become discouraged in helping others.  I pray
that I may always rely on the power of God to help me.

What the Saints Say About the Rosary and the Hail Mary

Our Lady speaks about the Rosary and the Hail Mary. . .

"Continue to pray the Rosary every day." Our Lady of Fatima to Lucia

"When you say your Rosary, the angels rejoice, the Blessed Trinity delights
in it, my Son find joy in it too, and I myself am happier than you can
possibly guess. After the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, there is nothing in
the Church that I love as much as the Rosary." Our Lady to Bl. Alan de la
Roche

"‘Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee!’ No creature has ever
said anything that was more pleasing to me, nor will anyone ever be able to
find or say to me anything that pleases me more." Our Lady to St. Mechtilde

What the saints have said about the Rosary and the Hail Mary. . .

"If you persevere in reciting the Rosary, this will be a most probable sign
of your eternal salvation." Bl. Alan de la Roche

"The greatest method of praying is to pray the Rosary." St. Francis de
Sales.

"When the Holy Rosary is said well, it gives Jesus and Mary more glory and
is more meritorious than any other prayer." St. Louis de Montfort

"The Holy Rosary is the storehouse of countless blessing." Bl. Alan de la
Roche

"One day, through the Rosary and the Scapular, Our Lady will save the
world." St. Dominic

"Never will anyone who says his Rosary every day be led astray. This is a
statement that I would gladly sign with my blood." St. Louis de Montfort

"If you say the Rosary faithfully unto death, I do assure you that, in spite
of the gravity of your sins, 'you wil receive a never-fading crown of glory'
(1 Peter 5:4)." St. Louis de Montfort

"The Rosary is THE weapon." Blessed Padre Pio

"You must know that when you ‘hail’ Mary, she immediately greets you! Don’t
think that she is one of those rude women of whom there are so many - on the
contrary, she is utterly courteous and pleasant. If you greet her, she will
answer you right away and converse with you!" St. Bernardine of Siena

"Recite your Rosary with faith, with humility, with confidence, and with
perseverance." St. Louis de Montfort

"The Rosary is my favourite prayer. A marvellous prayer! Marvellous in its
simplicity and in its depth. . .the simple prayer of the Rosary beats the
rhythm of human life." Pope John Paul II.

In Christ we have ....

A love that can never be fathomed,

A life that can never die,

A righteousness that can never be tarnished,

A peace that can never be understood,

A rest that can never be disturbed,

A joy that can never be diminished,

A hope that can never be disappointed,

A glory that can never be clouded,

A light that can never be darkened,

A purity that can never be defiled,

A beauty that can never be marred,

A wisdom that can never be baffled,

Resources that can never be exhausted.

Jesus is our all in all!

A  prayer to the Guardian Angels

Holy Angel of my husband, I commend him this day to your powerful care. Be with him in his daily work, shield him from every misfortune, and guard him against all temptation from without and within. And you Angels of my children look after them wherever they go and I cannot be with them. Let them return home unharmed in body and soul.

Holy Guardian Angels of my children, you know that I can no longer protect and oversee and control my children as before, when they were little. They are entrusted to you. Therefore I ask you with all my motherly (fatherly) love to protect them this day in body and soul, wherever they go, that they may remain safe from all harm. Stir their conscience when they waver, and lend them your strength. You behold at all times the face of the Heavenly Father; beseech Him to turn all things to good, that one day in union with you we may praise and bless Him forever.

Holy Guardian Angels of my children, each of you knows his ward better and deeper than I can. Show me what to do to bring up my children rightly. Help me to open their hearts to everything good and holy. Teach them to love Christ as He deserves to be loved.

May 31

The Peace that I give you transcends your intellect. When most of your mental energy goes into efforts to figure things out, you are unable to receive this glorious gift. I look into your mind and see thoughts spinning round and round: going nowhere, accomplishing nothing. All the while, My Peace hovers over you, searching for a place to land.

Be still in My Presence, inviting Me to control your thoughts. Let My Light soak into your mind and heart, until you are aglow with My very Being. This is the most effective way to receive My Peace.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
—2 Thessalonians 3:16

“Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you.”
—Job 22:21

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

Thank you! Love the psalm you wrote. My blessings are many.  Beautiful start to my day, I am an early riser so get to see and feel the day unfold and ask God for help embracing it all and as you wrote, let things go. I tend to hold on to so much and for the past 5 years, it has been so tough. Working on letting it all go.  Another blessing is the cool air, my kitties who are my life, my family and friends, job and the fact I awoke and was able to be here today is such a gift!

To all who read this thread, feel blessed, be blessed and know you are loved!

Take care and thank you GloriaJean!

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

My blessings are many. I'm grateful for my health, even tho it could use some improvement on my part. My sweet husband, children, and grandsons.

As I'm writing this, a little chipmunk is scurrying around on the front porch. My door is open so I see it. Seeing the chimpmunks and squirrels, all of the different birds out in the yard and hearing their chirps and songs, watching the winds blow through the trees, I'm thankful for my eyes and ears.

A month ago, we visited, Ivy Green, the birthplace of Helen Keller in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Lots of trees around the grounds. I could help but wonder which of those trees she touched as a child. A huge tree had been cut down and laid all over part of the yard where the few available parking spaces were. My husband got a smooth slice as a momento. When we got home, on it I wrote the date and where it came from and put it in the China cabinet.

Time to get busy. Have a great day. God bless.

Be still, and know.

Thank you, Nancy, for your post!  It's hard but always best to let it go!  Let it go and let God do the work!  He can heal you what needs healings. We are early risers too!

Harlene, that's good to read that your sciatica pain is letting up.  I love those electric treadmills - had one but had to get rid of it when we moved.  We have one here in the exercise room, too.  Wishing you many blessings with your new treadmill.  It'll help.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

Lucy - Nature has a lot of blessings - birds to watch, chipmonks etc.  One time a chipmonk got into our garage, and it squeaked and squeaked, couldn't find the way out!  Sammy just looked at it with is ears perked. Didn't know what to do. I had both garage doors open and the big one, and finally he got out.  Silly thing. We didn't get many chipmonks there.

Wow! You got to see where Helen Keller lived!  That's great - and in your State, it wasn't too far, was it?  That was a nice remembrance your husband got and putting the date and where makes it special.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

Lucy it must have been nice visiting where Helen Keller lived.

I remember reading her book as a young girl called "The Story Of My Life"

It made quite an impression on me.

I also thought Patty Duke did a great job playing her in the Movie.

Blessings to all.
