Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

Hello my friends!  We all have many blessings, and trials, too. Let us just focus on our blessings, God will take care of the trials if we let Him. A 5 gallon pail of our potatoes here from the garden is a blessing, we won't have to buy potatoes for a long time!  My husband is a Veteran and tomorrow's Veteran's day, he can eat out for free! Going out to eat with Linda and Gordie downstairs - Gordie's a Veteran too. She just told me of that, didn't know it.  What blessings can you share with me?

It is far wiser to ask God for what He thinks is good for us, than for what
we think is good for us.  Lord, Your Will not mine be done.

"I believe; help my unbelief!"  ~Mark 9:24

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

"I believe; help my unbelief!"  This cry of the human heart is an
expression of human frailty.  It signifies the soul's sincere desire for
progress.  As we feel the existence of God and God's power, we can
believe in God more and more.  At the same time, we can be more
conscious of our falling short of absolute trust in God.  The soul's
progress is an increasing belief, then a cry for more faith, a plea to
conquer all unbelief, all lack of trust.  We can believe that this cry
is heard by God and that this prayer is answered in due time.  And so
our faith can grow, little by little, day by day.

I pray that with more power in my life will come more faith.  I pray
that I may come to trust God more each day.

Save Us, Lord

We implore You, Master, to be our helper and protector.
Save the afflicted among us;
have mercy on the lowly;
raise up the fallen;
appear to the needy;
heal the ungodly;
restore the wanderers of thy people;
feed the hungry;
ransom our prisoners;
raise up the sick;
comfort the faint-hearted.
Amen.

I'M TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED and TOO ANOINTED TO BE DISAPPOINTED!
Author Unknown

I refuse to be discouraged, to be sad or to cry.
I refuse to be downhearted and here's the reason why:
I have a God who is almighty; who is sovereign and supreme;
I have a God who loves me, and I am on his team.
He is all wise and powerful; Jesus is His Name; though everything else is
changeable, My God remains the same.
I refuse to be defeated.
My eyes are on my GOD.
He has promised to be with me, as through this life I trod.
I am looking past my circumstances, to heaven's throne above.
My prayers have reached the heart of God.
I am resting in His love.
I give thanks to Him in everything.
My eyes are on His face.
The battle is His; the victory is mine; He will help me win the race.
I repeat, I'M TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!" You have just taken a dose of
encouragement. God's love to you.

In Conversation With God

Whenever we begin again, each and every day, our heart is filled with joy–and so is the Master’s. Every time we allow Jesus to enter into our life we please God immeasurably. The Sacred Heart of Jesus overflows with joy whenever a lost soul has been recovered. Everyone has to join in the celebration–all the angels and saints in heaven as well as the just on earth, for this wonderful development.

-Fr. Francis Fernandez

Lord, My Hands Are Empty

Lord, I do not want to gather merit for heaven..
In the evening of this life I will appear before you with empty hands.
For I do not ask you, O Lord, in any way to count my good works.
Rather, I will clothe myself with Your justice and receive
from Your Love the eternal possession of Yourself.

Ideals

Remember that ideals
are like stars up in the sky,
You can never really reach them,
hanging in the heavens high....

But like the mighty mariner
who sailed the storm-tossed sea,
And used the stars to chart his course
with skill and certainty,

You too can chart your course in life
with high ideals and love,
For high ideals are like the stars
that light the sky above....

You cannot ever reach them,
but lift your heart up high
And your life will be as shining
as the stars up in the sky.

Do More

For life to be fullest, sweetest and rewarding:
-Do more than move; improve.
-Do more than get; give.
-Do more than regret; repent.
-Do more than look; see.
-Do more than sympathize; help.
-Do more than attend church; worship.
-Do more than have children; rear them.
-Do more than build a house; make a home.
-Do more than breathe; LIVE
-Do more than live; LOVE

Live today so that you will make life better for those around you.
You will end up making your life better too.

Lord, You teach that it is in giving that I receive.
May I always have a generous spirit.  Amen.

November 10 - Jesus Calling

Focus your entire being on My living Presence. I am most assuredly with you, enveloping you in My Love and Peace. While you relax in My Presence, I am molding your mind and cleansing your heart. I am re-creating you into the one I designed you to be.

As you move from stillness into the activities of your day, do not relinquish your attentiveness to Me. If something troubles you, talk it over with Me. If you get bored with what you are doing, fill the time with prayers and praise.When someone irritates you, don’t let your thoughts linger on that person’s faults. Gently nudge your mind back to Me. Every moment is precious if you keep your focus on Me. Any day can be a good day, because My Presence permeates all time.

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O Lord. They rejoice in your name all day long; they exult in your righteousness. —Psalm 89:15–16

This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. —1 John 3:19–20

To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. —Jude 24–25

In my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever. —Psalm 41:12
