Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

Hello my friends! Today I kept busy with all kinds of things. Thanks be to God, our TV is now working on antenna and I got to see the Pope on the news. We got out of charter now, and have our apartment complex internet which will always be $35.00 a month, never more. We just add it on to our rent. So our TV is free, with antenna, we are saving alot! Praise God!! The little bit of TV we watch, antenna is fine, we also get qvc and hsn, don't watch it though. Saw that when paging through the channels. Our friends, Gordy and Linda are in Rochester now at the Mayo Clinic. She called me this morning that if I wanted to come and watch the Pope on their TV I was welcomed - Sammy too, but then I had to be here for the change over and I got to see the Pope here at our apartment. Anyone else watch him? Seeing him and hearing everything made me feel so special that he is our Pope and we love him! What a blessing from God!

Keep your heart clean by constant fall cleaning. Then there will be a place for

beauty and peace. Lord, help me to remove carelessness and disrespect from my

heart and in all things may I celebrate Your love for me.

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

"He that has eyes to see, let him see." To the seeing eye, the world is
good. We can pray for a seeing eye, to see the purpose of God in
everything good. We can pray for enough faith to see God's care in
God's dealings with us. We can try to see how God has brought us safely
through our past life so that now we can be of use in the world. With
the eyes of faith we can see God's care and purpose everywhere.

P R A Y E R   F O R   T H E   D A Y

I pray that I may have a seeing eye. I pray that with the eye of faith,
I may see God's purpose everywhere.

A Prayer to Padre Pio

Beloved Padre Pio, today I come to add my prayer to the thousands of prayers offered to you every day by those who love and venerate you. They ask for cures and healings, earthly and spiritual blessings, and peace for body and mind. And because of your friendship with the Lord, he heals those you ask to be healed, and forgives those you forgive.

Through your visible wounds of the Cross, which you bore for 50 years, you were chosen in our time to glorify the crucified Jesus. Because the Cross has been replaced by other symbols, please help us to bring it back in our midst, for we acknowledge it is the only true sign of salvation.

As we lovingly recall the wounds that pierced your hands, feet and side, we not only remember the blood you shed in pain, but your smile, and the invisible halo of sweet smelling flowers that surrounded your presence, the perfume of sanctity.

Padre Pio, may the healings of the sick become the testimony that the Lord has invited you to join the holy company of Saints. In your kindness, please help me with my own special request: (mention here your petition, and make the sign of the Cross).

September 23 - Jesus Calling

Walk with Me in the freedom of forgiveness. The path we follow together is sometimes steep and slippery. If you carry a burden of guilt on your back, you are more likely to stumble and fall. At your request, I will remove the heavy load from you and bury it at the foot of the cross. When I unburden you, you are undeniably free! Stand up straight and tall in My Presence, so that no one can place more burdens on your back. Look into My Face and feel the warmth of My Love-Light shining upon you. It is this unconditional Love that frees you from both fears and sins. Spend time basking in the Light of My Presence. As you come to know Me more and more intimately, you grow increasingly free.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
