Daily Positive Thread for Tuesday

Greetings my friends!  Hope you all are having a good Monday!  Just an ordinary day here again to give Glory to God - with all His blessings!!  Got a surprise email today from someone who wants to be on my list, guess someone she knows is on my list and sent her some stuff, and she wants to be on my list, so I signed her up.  I have about 200 on my list.  This thread I do is part of the list I do in the morning.  She wanted to sign up for the Divine Mercy in My Soul - I was thinking of adding that to the thread sometime.  It's profound how Our Lord talks to Sister Faustina, and wants her to write down His words to the world about His Mercy. I'll put todays here so you can see what I send on the Divine Mercy.

Keep your heart clean by constant spring cleaning.  Then there will be a place for
beauty and peace.  Lord, help me to remove carelessness and disrespect from my
heart and in all things may I celebrate Your love for me.

"If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."  ~Mark 4:23

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

"He that has eyes to see, let him see."  To the seeing eye, the world is
good.  We can pray for a seeing eye, to see the purpose of God in
everything good.  We can pray for enough faith to see God's care in
God's dealings with us.  We can try to see how God has brought us safely
through our past life so that now we can be of use in the world.  With
the eyes of faith we can see God's care and purpose everywhere.

P R A Y E R   F O R   T H E   D A Y

I pray that I may have a seeing eye.  I pray that with the eye of faith,
I may see God's purpose everywhere.

ACCEPTANCE OF GOD'S WILL

In all things may the most holy, the most just, and
the most lovable will of God be done, praised and
exalted above all for ever. Your will be done, O Lord,
your will be done. The Lord has given, the Lord has
taken away,, blessed be the name of the Lord.

May You Always Have

May you always have an angel by your side. Watching out for you in all the
things you do. Reminding you to keep believing in brighter days.
Finding ways for your wishes and dreams to take you to beautiful places

Giving you hope that is as certain as the sun. Giving you the strength
of serenity as your guide. May you always have love and comfort
and courage. And may you always have an angel by your side

May you always have an angel by your side. Someone there to catch you if
you fall. Encouraging your dreams. Inspiring your happiness.
Holding your hand and helping you through it all

In all of our days, our lives are always changing. Tears come along
as well as smiles. Along the roads you travel, may the miles be a thousand
times more lovely than lonely. May they give you the kind of gifts that never, ever end.

Someone wonderful to love and a dear friend in whom you can confide.
May you have rainbows after every storm. May you have hopes to
keep you warm. And may you always have an angel by your side .

Don´t Give Them Vinegar

The preacher placed two identical jars on the table next to the pulpit.

He quoted 1 Samuel 16:7 'The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."

"These jars came from the same factory, were made of the same materials, and can hold the same amount. But they are different," he explained. Then he upset one and it oozed out honey. He turned over the other, and vinegar spilled out.

"When a jar is upset, whatever is in it comes out. Until the jars were upset, they looked alike. The difference was within, and could not be seen. When they were upset, their contents were revealed. Until we are upset we put on a good front. But when we are upset, we reveal our innermost thoughts and attitudes, for 'out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.'" (Luke 6:45

What if someone tipped you over today??

What would flow out??

Would you reveal the "honey" of grace and patience, or the "vinegar" of anger and sarcasm?

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." (1Peter 4:8)

Have a terrific day knowing that the one who upsets you may be just looking for some honey - Don't give them vinegar!

Cross Bearers

Once a man complained loud and long to the Lord about the heavy cross he had to carry. So the Lord said to him: "Come along with me to the factory where they make crosses. And you can choose one for yourself."

So off they went and got to the factory. They went inside the door and the Lord said: "You just shop around in here and take any one you want." So the man too off his cross and set it alongside the door, and started to shop around.

He tried this cross and that one but none of the really fit him. Some were too long or too short, some were too heavy, and others too light... Just as he was about to give up, he noticed one cross leaning against the wall... He tried it on for size and weight and it just fit... He walked around with it and it felt just fine. So he turned to the Lord and said: "I'll take this one."

And just as they got past the door, the Lord turned to the cross bearer and said with a smile, "I'm glad you like that one... It's the one you brought in."

The Lord knows what is best for us! As St. Paul says in 2 Cor. 12:9 "My grace is all you need. My power is greatest when you are weak."

St. Mark, Evangelist - Feast Day today

Heavenly Father, Saint Mark ran away in fear when Jesus was arrested, but after the resurrection and the descent of the Holy Spirit in the Upper Room, he became a writer of the Faith, and he helped Saints Paul, Barnabas, and Peter build the new Church. Take my fears, O Lord, and replace them with a zeal for evangelization using the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Fill me to overflowing with the Spirit, so that I may boldly and powerfully serve my parish community and the ministries into which You send me. Give me faithful partners like Saints Paul, Barnabas, and Peter, and use us to build Your Church. Saint Mark, pray for me. Amen.

Verse of the Day

"The way of the righteous is level; O Just One, you make smooth the path of the righteous. In the path of your judgments, O Lord, we wait for you; your name and your renown are the soul’s desire. My soul yearns for you in the night, my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness."

Isaiah 26:7-9

April 25  - Jesus Calling

MAKE ME YOUR FOCAL POINT as you move through this day. Just as a spinning ballerina must keep returning her eyes to a given point to maintain her balance, so you must keep returning your focus to Me. Circumstances are in flux, and the world seems to be whirling around you. The only way to keep your balance is to fix your eyes on Me, the One who never changes. If you gaze too long at your circumstances, you will become dizzy and confused.

Look to Me, refreshing yourself in My Presence, and your steps will be steady and sure.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
—Hebrews 12:2

But you remain the same, and your years will never end.
—Psalm 102:27

Your daily reading fromSt. Faustina's diary

April 25

My God! In these difficult moments my spiritual director [Father Andrasz] is away, for he has gone to Rome. Jesus, since You have taken him away from me, guide me Yourself, because You alone know how much I can bear. I believe firmly that God cannot give me more than I can bear. I trust in His mercy.       (1118)

My tormented soul finds aid nowhere but in You, O Living Host. I place all my trust in Your merciful heart. I am waiting patiently for Your word, Lord.       (1138)

[Let] the greatest sinners place their trust in My mercy. They have the right before others to trust in the abyss of My mercy. My daughter, write about My mercy towards tormented souls. Souls that make an appeal to My mercy delight Me. To such souls I grant even more graces than they ask. I cannot punish even the greatest sinner if he makes an appeal to Mycompassion, but on the contrary, I justify him in My unfathomable and inscrutable mercy. Write: before I come as a just Judge, I first open wide the door of My mercy. He who refuses to pass through the door of My mercy must pass through the door of My justice...      (1146)

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Tuesday

Hello Harlene and Bobbiesue - cold here yet, in the 30's.

I thought I'd share today's Divine Mercy with you if you don't mind:

Your daily reading fromSt. Faustina's diary

April 26

Today the Lord said to me, My daughter, My pleasure and delight, nothing will stop Me from granting you graces. Your misery does not hinder My mercy. My daughter, write that the greater the misery of a soul, the greater its right to My mercy; [urge] all souls to trust in the unfathomable abyss of My mercy, because I want to save them all. On the cross, the fountain of My mercy was opened wide by the lance for all souls-no one have I excluded!      (1182)

O my Jesus, nothing can lower my ideals, that is, the love which I have for You. Although the path is very thorny, I do not fear to go ahead. Even if a hailstorm of persecutions covers me; even if my friends forsake me; even if all things conspire against me, and the horizon grows dark; even if a raging storm breaks out, and I feel I am quite alone and must brave it all; still, fully at peace, I will trust in Your mercy, O my God, and my hope will not be disappointed.       (1195)

The words of Our Lord Jesus Christ are in boldface. The words of Our Lady are in italics.
