Hello my friends! Hope you all had a good start of the work week now, and preparing soon for a Happy Thanksgiving! Even with our trials we get dished out on life, there are so much to be thankful for, not just for Thanksgiving, but every day of our lives. Agree? We are so fortunate to be living in this country. We can have our Faith and not be killed for it, We can go to Church every week, no problem! Yet many don't. Going there weekly to get strength for the rest of the week is a good thing. What are your blessings?
I believe that in one God there are three Divine Persons- God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
I believe that God became Man without ceasing to be God. He is Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, the Redeemer of human race. He died on the cross for my salvation and eternal happiness.
O my God, give me a strong faith. Help me to believe with lively faith.
O my God, all-good and all merciful, I sincerely hope to be saved. Help me to do all that is necessary to gain eternal salvation.
I have committed many sins in my life, but now I turn away from them. I am sorry, truly sorry, for all of them, because I have offended You, my God, Who are all-good, all-perfect, all-holy and all-merciful.
I love You, O my God, with all my heart. Please forgive me for having offended You. I promise that, with Your help, I will never offend You again.
My God, have mercy on me. Amen.
The Second Ten Commandments
12. Thou shall not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.
13. Thou shall not cross bridges before you come to them, for no one yet has succeeded in accomplishing this.
14. Thou shall face each problem as it comes. You can only handle one at a time anyway.
15. Thou shall not take problems to bed with you, for they make very poor bedfellows.
16. Thou shall not borrow other people's problems. They can better care for them than you can.
17. Thou shall not try to relive yesterday for good or ill, it is forever gone. Concentrate on what is happening in your life and be happy now!
18. Thou shall be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear different ideas from your own. It is hard to learn something new when you are talking, and some people do know more than you do.
19. Thou shall not become "bogged down" by frustration, for 90% of it is rooted in self-pity and will only interfere with positive action.
20. Thou shall count thy blessings, never overlooking the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to a big one.
To "LET GO" Does not mean to stop caring, it means I can't do it for someone else. To "LET GO" Is not to cut myself off, it's the realization that I can't control another human being. To "LET GO" Is not to enable, but to allow someone to learn from their natural consequences. To "LET GO" Is to admit powerlessness , which means the outcome is not in my hands. To "LET GO" Is not to try to change or blame another, but to make the most of myself. To "LET GO" Is not to care for, but to care about. To "LET GO" Is not to fix, but to be supportive, and not violate my values. To "LET GO" Is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being. To "LET GO" Is not to be in the middle, arranging all the outcomes , but to allow God to work in the lives of others. To "LET GO" Is not to be protective, it's to permit another to face reality. To "LET GO" Is not to deny, but to accept . To "LET GO" Is not to nag, scold or argue with another person, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and allow God to correct them. To "LET GO" Does not mean to deny the shortcomings in others, but to accept others unconditionally in love. To "LET GO" Is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to accept each day as it comes; knowing God offers it to me for growth. To "LET GO" Is not to criticize or regulate anybody, but to try to become the person I understand God wants me to be. To "LET GO" Does not mean to compete against another human being, but rather, to compete within myself to learn "self- control" through circumstances God brings into my life. To "LET GO" Does mean to fear less and love more. To "LET GO" Means I don't demand my own way, but that I hold firm to my values and beliefs-- while allowing others the same privilege. To "LET GO" Doesn't mean that I expect God to do everything for me, but that I let God show me how to do His will for my life.

Good morning,
We do have a lot to be thankful for. Everyone goes through trials and worries, through it all, I know that God goes before me and will lead me. He has our backs. Isn't that a wonderful feeling?
Have a great Thanksgiving. As Harlene says, count your blessings. I will. God bless and keep you.

HI Gloria and all, So many blessings to be thankful for...too many to count. Glad to hear your hands are healing, hope you are back to normal soon.
How is Sammy adjusting to the apartment? I'm sure he's happy just being with his human family wherever you live.
Blessings to all who read and post here. Marmot

Thanks for your posts, Harlene, Lucy and Marmot! Love seeing you here! Lucy, don't be a stranger!! Marmot, Sammy is adjusting well here. Thanks be to God. My hands still hurt, but much better, and I'm back to eating the gin and raisins again, maybe that will hurry up the process?
Remember the golden raisins, put in a glass bowl, cover them with gin, and every other day stir them, up to the 10th day, or two weeks, they're ready, and you put them in a mason jar and eat just 9 raisins a day - good for arthritis - hoping it'll also be good for the aches in my hands.
