Daily Positive Thread for Thursday

Greetings to all!  Busy day for me today - all blessings, that's for sure!  Made a good sized pork roast on top of the stove with potatoes and carrots from the garden, wonderful supper!  I food processed all the small onions I have left from the garden, and put in fridge to have handy for use, celery too.  Washed all the potatoes we had up here from the garden, all ready for use, I think there's another whole pail of them in a cabinet in our garage downstairs.  Sorry for talking so much about food, but it's all a blessing from God!   Greg signed from GA where he is this week for his job, once a month they fly him to the headquarters in Savannah, so Monday will be inspection for the house, Linus will go to be with the inspector, as Darla wants him to and it's fine.  If everything is fine with inspection moving will be the first part of December.  So happy for them!

God gives abundantly to those who pass His gifts on to others.  Lord, let
Your blessings flow in to me and then out from me.  I will neither be selfish
nor let my gifts stagnate.

"It is God's will that by doing right you should silence the ignorance
of the foolish.  As servants of God, live as free people, yet do not use
your freedom as a pretext for evil.  Honor everyone."  ~1 Peter 2:15-17

Each new days brings an opportunity to do some little thing that will
help to make a better world, that will bring God's kingdom a little
nearer to being realized on earth.  We can take each day's happenings as
opportunities for something we can do for God.  In that spirit, a
blessing will attend all that we do.  When we offer this day's service
to God, we are sharing in God's work.  We do not have to do great
things.

I pray that today I may do the next thing, the unselfish thing, the
loving thing.  I pray that I may be content with doing small things as
long as they are right.

God's Will Prayer

Dear Lord God Almighty
We know that You are Jesus, and that You died for us.

Give us Your Holy Spirit, to live in us forever, and thus bless us with
Eternal Life. Let Your Holy Spirit Testify through us and speak the Truth through us.
Let Your Holy Spirit Love through us - a perfect unselfish Holy Love; so that we
lay down all worldly ambitions, give up our wills, and do Your Holy Will.
Take our thoughts away from making money, or finding business opportunities.
Take our desire away from seeking worldly wealth or fame. Take our eyes away from
looking on vain worldly appearances, which deceive and mislead us. Keep our thoughts
on doing Your Holy will, not on seeking worldly material things, or vain worldly status.

Let Your Holy Spirit give us our ONE desire and ONE purpose. To do Your Holy Will. If You desire us to walk paths of poverty, then so be it. If You desire us to lose everything, that we think is important or valuable, then so be it. If You Desire us to sacrifice everything we have and our lives, then so be it. If You desire us to endure pain and seasons of harsh conditions, then so be it. If You desire us to live or die, then so be it. Let Your Holy Will be done in our lives. For, even our lives are not our own. We owe everything to You.

Keep us from looking in the mirror and admiring our own beauty, which is not beauty at all. Let the True Beauty be in us - Your Holy Spirit of Truth and Grace. Keep us from pride and love of self, which is our enemy. Bless us with absolute, total, unselfish Love. Which is only possible through Your Holy Spirit.

We give You our lives. Do with us as You Will. Make our lives useful to Your Service. The only ambition we have is to humbly, and honestly do Your Will. We want to lift up Your Name Jesus, not our names. We want to make known the power of Your Holy Spirit, Jesus. We want You to claim us for Yourself, and use us according to Your Divine purpose. And no matter the job or task that You assign to us, we will be contented, and full of Joy, to do Your Holy Will, Jesus.

Let Your Holy Spirit, Jesus, Live in us forever, and give us Purpose, Hope, and Peace and Joy, and Eternal Life. For without You, we perish.

In Your Holy Spirit, Jesus, we Pray!

Amen

My Hand In God´s

Each morning when I wake I say,
"I place my hand in God's today;"
I know He'll walk close by my side
My every wandering step to guide.

He leads me with the tenderest care
When paths are dark and I despair---
No need for me to understand
If I but hold fast to His hand.

My hand in His! No surer way
to walk in safety through each day.
By His great bounty I am fed;
Warmed by His love, and comforted.

When at day's end I seek my rest
And realize how much I'm blessed,
My thanks pour out to Him; and then
I place my hand in God's again.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Thursday

Hi Gloria,  what a blessing to have Darla home at last!  It's truly an answer to prayer.

We are both doing fine, getting the house ready for winter. Our garden is all cleaned up too. Only had 2 tomatoes, 1 pepper and rhubarb. The tomatoes did really good this year and I was able to freeze a lot of them.

Went to a good old fashioned sauerkraut supper on Saturday at a neighboring church. It was so good and reminded me of when our church used to have them.

Well, that was my blessing, good garden and sauerkraut.  Take care..Marmot

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Thursday

Marmot - it sure is a blessing to have my oldest daughter back home again! After six years in Texas, the long, long drive back and forth, and sometimes the airlines, yes! This is much better, but I am glad we spent Christmas there last Christmas, in the warm weather, it was so nice!

We love saurkraut! I have some of our homemade out from the freezer to use tomorrow with pork.  What was all with your saurkraut supper?
