Daily Positive Thread for Thursday

Hello to all you positive gals and grateful gals! It was a tiring day, the twins were awake more than sleeping it seems like.  Little Aria, that little stinker, only 7 weeks old, when I picked her up from the crib because she was fussing, and started rocking her, I said, Well, Aria, do you like it when Grandma rocks you?  Little Aria smiled!!  Just like she understood me!  She did have a couple burps in her yet, so maybe that was why she was fussy. But I don't mind rocking her to sleep, she is so cute, both are and so precious.

I can tell their different personalities - Lil Lissy (Alyssa) is more high strung, she is going to have some baby zantac when Darla gets the perscription, for acid reflux. Ok - talked to Darla about why not start giving them cereal, and she said the doctor say no solids until 4 months.  The reason is that the cereal etc. can cause food allergies.  I told her I started her on cereal and baby foods early on, what my doctor said, but she said that because of that, she's had digestive problems all her life, I know she had irritible bowel syndromn, never thinking it was because I started her on solids too soon.  She said the doctors then didn't know this - more study has shown this.  Sorry I didn't know this when she was a baby.  Lori had the same foods but nothing affected her.  Sorry - that's my life these days, all about the twins.

Be a patient person but, most of all, be patient with yourself. Lord, may

I be blessed with a calm spirit and diligence as I do my work today.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."  ~Psalm
119:105

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

God can take our efforts for good and bless them.  God appreciates our
efforts.  We need God's blessing.  Together they mean spiritual success.
Our efforts are necessary.  We cannot merely relax and drift with the tide.
We can often direct our efforts against the tide of materialism around us.
When difficulties come, our efforts are needed to surmount them.  But God
can direct our efforts into the right channels and God's power is necessary
to help us choose the right.

P R A Y E R   F O R   T H E   D A Y

I pray that I may choose the right.  I pray that I may have God's blessing
and direction in all my efforts for good.

LISTEN TO ME
Author Unknown

Effective immediately, please be aware that there are changes YOU need
to make in YOUR life. These changes need to be completed in order that
I may fulfill My promises to you to grant you peace, joy and happiness
in this life. I apologize for any inconvenience, but after all that I
am doing, this seems very little to ask of you. I know, I already gave
you the 10 Commandments. Keep them. But follow these guidelines, also:

1. QUIT WORRYING
Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit and worry. Have you
forgotten that I am here to take all your burdens and carry them for
you? Or do you just enjoy fretting over every little thing that comes
your way?

2. PUT IT ON THE LIST
Something needs to be done or taken care of. Put it on the list. No,
not YOUR list. Put it on MY to-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care
of the problem. I can't help you until you turn it over to Me. And
although My to-do-list is long, I am after all... God. I can take care
of anything you put into My hands. In fact, if the truth were ever
really known, I take care of a lot of things for you that you never
even realize.

3. TRUST ME
Once you've given your burdens to Me, quit trying to take them back.
Trust in Me. Have the faith that I will take care of all your needs.
YOUR problems and your trials. Problems with the kids? Put them on My
list. Problem with finances? Put it on My list. Problems with your
emotional roller coaster? For My sake, put it on My list. I want to
help you. All you have to do is ask.

4. LEAVE IT ALONE
Don't wake up one morning and say, "Well, I'm feeling much stronger
now, I think I can handle it from here." Why do you think you are
feeling stronger now? It's simple. You gave Me your burdens and I'm
taking care of them. I also renew your strength and cover you in my
peace. Don't you know that if I
give you these problems back, you will be right back where you
started? Leave them with Me and forget about them. Just let Me do my
job.

5. TALK TO ME
I want you to forget a lot of things. Forget what was making you
crazy. Forget the worry and the fretting because you know I'm in
control. But there's one thing I pray you never forget. Please, don't
forget to talk to Me - OFTEN! I love YOU! I want to hear your voice. I
want you to include Me in on the things going on in your life. I want
to hear you talk about your friends and family. Prayer is simply you
having a conversation with Me. I want to be your dearest friend.

6. HAVE FAITH
I see a lot of things from up here that you can't see from where you
are. Have faith in Me that I know what I'm doing. Trust Me; you
wouldn't want the view from My eyes. I will continue to care for you,
watch over you, and meet your needs. You only have to trust Me.
Although I have a much bigger task
than you, it seems as if you have so much trouble just doing your
simple part. How hard can trust be?

7. SHARE
You were taught to share when you were only two years old. When did
you forget? That rule still applies. Share with those who are less
fortunate than you. Share your joy with those who need encouragement.
Share your laughter with those who haven't heard any in such a long
time. Share your
tears with those who have forgotten how to cry. Share your faith with
those who have none.

8. BE PATIENT
I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime you could have so many
diverse experiences. You grow from a child to an adult, have children,
change jobs many times, learn many trades, travel to so many places,
meet thousands of people, and experience so much. How can you be so
impatient then when it
takes Me a little longer than you expect to handle something on My to-
do-list? Trust in My timing, for My timing is perfect. Just because I
created the entire universe in only six days, everyone thinks I should
always rush, rush, rush.

9. BE KIND
Be kind to others, for I love them just as much as I love you. They
may not dress like you, or talk like you, or live the same way you do,
but I still love you all. Please try to get along, for My sake. I
created each of you different in some way. It would be too boring if
you were all identical. Please, know I love each of your differences.

10. LOVE YOURSELF
As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself? You were created
by me for one reason only -- to be loved, and to love in return. I am
a God of Love. Love Me. Love your neighbors. But also love yourself.
It makes My heart ache when I see you so angry with yourself when
things go wrong. You
are very precious to Me. Don't ever forget that! With all my heart, I
love YOU!

This story should remind us all to take time and care.

A nurse took the tired, anxious serviceman to the bedside.  Your son
is here," she said to the old man.  She had to repeat the words several
times before the patient's eyes opened.  Heavily sedated because of the
pain of his heart attack, he dimly saw the young man in the Marine Corps uniform
standing outside the oxygen tent.  He reached out his hand.  The Marine
wrapped his toughened fingers around the old man's limp ones, squeezing a
message of love and encouragement.  The nurse brought a chair so that the Marine
could sit alongside the bed.  Nights are long in hospitals but all through the
night the young Marine sat there in the poorly lighted ward, holding the
old man's hand and offering him words of love and strength.  Occasionally, the
nurse suggested that the Marine move away and rest awhile. He refused.
Whenever the nurse came into the ward, the Marine was oblivious of her and of
the night noises of the hospital - the clanking of the oxygen tank, the
laughter of the night staff members exchanging greetings, the cries and moans
of the other patients.  Now and then she heard him say a few gentle words.
The dying man said nothing, only held tightly to his son all through the
 night.

Along towards dawn, the old man died. The Marine placed the lifeless
hand he had been holding and went to tell the nurse.  While she did what she
had to do, he waited.  Finally, she returned. She started to offer words of
sympathy, but the Marine interrupted her.  "Who was that man?" he
asked.  The nurse was startled, "He was your father" she answered.  "No, he
wasn't," the Marine replied. "I never saw him before in my life."  "Then why
didn't you say something when I took you to him?"  "I knew right away, there
had been a mistake, but I also knew he needed his son, and his son just wasn't
 here.
When I realized that he was too sick to tell whether or not I was
his son, I knew how much he needed me so I stayed."
The next time someone needs you...be there.  Stay!

August 24 - Jesus Calling

I am all around you, hovering over you even as you seek My Face. I am nearer than you dare believe, closer than the air you breathe. If My children could only recognize My Presence, they would never feel lonely again. I know every thought before you think it, every word before you speak it. My Presence impinges on your innermost being. Can you see the absurdity of trying to hide anything from Me? You can easily deceive other people, and even yourself; but I read you like an open, large-print book.

Deep within themselves, most people have some awareness of My imminent Presence. Many people run from Me and vehemently deny My existence, because My closeness terrifies them. But My own children have nothing to fear, for I have cleansed them by My blood and clothed them in My righteousness. Be blessed by My intimate nearness. Since I live in you, let Me also live through you, shining My Light into the darkness.

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord.
—Psalm 139:1–4

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
—Ephesians 2:13

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
—2 Corinthians 5:21

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Thursday

Dear glorianean...

I have so missed your positive energy and spiritual comfort.

I have had a year from hell.  It started the end of November 2015, and has been a world wind of medical madness.

I had surgery December 2nd, 2015, and again on December 4th for serious illness.  After being home less than 12 hours, I was rushed back to the hospital with a life threating very serious illness.  I am Catholic and had the last rights not once but twice.  They thought I was going to die.

My faith keep me connected to God and I put all my trust in him, and I told God, "I leave all of this into your hands".

Things were not going well...And in March, April, and May  2016 it went from very bad to extremely bad...

I am now presently on Chemo and have been since June 2016.

Every Wednesday is my Chemo Day.

I was just back in the hospital this past week.  Truly without God in my life, I would be lost...

It is very, very serious. And to think that I have been very ill for almost an entire year already...I can't wrap my mind around it.

This is the first time I posted anything since early November 2015.  I have just been to ill to even write and read post.

I want you to know your post, have always lifted my spirits.

I ask my QVC Friends to please pray for me...

I accept prayers from "ALL Religions"!

God Bless!

Enjoy each and everyday...

Try to make the negative into a positive.

Forgive and forget...

It is so freeing to one's soul.

Treat everyone with kindness and respect.

Don't forget to smile...

Laugh until it hurts...

It is your heart singing.

We are all here on borrowed time...

Make your time count for it is a gift and a lesson.

And when the time is right...

We shall all meet up again.

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us"

Continued blessings of faith strength, courage and just dealing with it.  Dealing is the operative word.

I liked and enjoyed your "Words of Wisdom."

God bless you, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Thursday

Dear Bellabutterfly, I'm so sorry you had to go through so much. I pray the dear Lord will bless you and make you well very soon.

Gloria, I'm a little old fashioned too I never had a baby but I remember my cousins and friends of mine giving their babies cereal early. But who knows in this day and age.

I must say though it is like a circle, what goes around comes around, you will see in a couple of years the doctors will be saying to give the babies cereal early again.

Saw my Chiropractor last night and feeling better.

Blessings to all.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Thursday

Dear Bellabutterfly,  We are all so happy you have posted - and so sorry for your bad health year! My goodness, you've been through so much with yiour health - Anointing of the Sick too, So glad you got the Anointing, Bella, that's very important.  I'm Catholic, too, and had that too, when I had Polio when I was nine.  I remember it all!  It was the Bulbar polio, in the throat and not expected to live, but I surprised them all and here I am!!!  I'm so glad you have the Faith to help you get through, and leave everything in God's hands.  You are in my prayers, dear, along with everyone here who posted that they will be praying for you.  Prayers works wonders.  Have you ever called a Poor Clare Convent for prayers? I do, and use their prayers often.  I'll put you on my Glory of God prayer line that I started years ago, where I have some Poor Clare Monateries who are willing to pray for all I send there, plus other people like us, a lot of them.  May God bless you, dear friend, with healings!

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Thursday

So happy you feel better now, Harlene! Chiropractors can work wonders and naturally too!  I'm old fashioned too, but more studies may have more answers than we did way back when.  Sure wish I could have prevented stomach problems with Darla.  Didn't know better.
