Hello my friends! Beautiful day here today! Was out in my swing for awhile on the deck. Sammy too. God's blessings are all around us - just look around, things don't happen by coincidence, but by His blessings. Got a blessing call from my sister today, she is doing fine, and very busy. She's the one who's 93, still washes the linens from Church for Communions, and irons them and brings them back every week. She had some parties to go to with the company she used to work for, had a good time. Listening to her is always a blessing! You posters are a blessing to me too!! What are your blessings?
Be a patient person but, most of all, be patient with yourself. Lord, may
I be blessed with a calm spirit and diligence as I do my work today.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." ~Psalm

God can take our efforts for good and bless them. God appreciates our
efforts. We need God's blessing. Together they mean spiritual success.
Our efforts are necessary. We cannot merely relax and drift with the tide.
We can often direct our efforts against the tide of materialism around us.
When difficulties come, our efforts are needed to surmount them. But God
can direct our efforts into the right channels and God's power is necessary
to help us choose the right.

I pray that I may choose the right. I pray that I may have God's blessing
and direction in all my efforts for good.
God's Passion and Plan
Your word is like a lamp
for my feet and a light for my path.
PSALM 119:105
The purpose of the Bible is simply to proclaim God's plan to save His children. It asserts that man is lost and needs to be saved. And it communicates the message that Jesus is the God in the flesh sent to save his children.
Though the Bible was written over sixteen centuries by at least forty authors, it has one central theme -- salvation through faith in Christ. Begun by Moses in the lonely desert of Arabia and finished by John on the lonely Isle of Patmos, it is held together by a strong thread: God's passion and God's plan to save His children.
What a vital truth! Understanding the purpose of the Bible is like setting the compass in the right direction. Calibrate it correctly and you'll journey safely. But fail to set it, and who knows where you'll end up.
I'm Still Hungry....
I was hungry and you formed a humanities club to discuss my hunger....... Thank you.
I was imprisoned and you crept off quietly to your chapel to pray for my release....... Nice
I was naked and in your mind you debated the morality of my appearance... What good did it do ????
I was sick and you knelt and thanked God for your health... But I needed you.
I was homeless and you preached to me of the shelter of the love of God.... I wish you had taken me home.
I was lonely and you left me alone to pray for me.... Why didn't you stay with me and pray?
You seem so holy, so close to God. Yet, I am still very hungry, imprisoned, naked, sick, homeless and lonely.

DEDICATION TO JESUS
Lord Jesus Christ, take all my freedom, my memory, my understanding, and my
will. All that I have and cherish you have given me. I surrender it all to be
guided by your will. Your love and your grace are wealth enough for me. Give me
these, Lord Jesus, and ask for nothing more. Amen.
Bless Your Competitor
A man came to his counselor in great distress. He was a shopkeeper and they
had opened a supermarket right across the street from him. It would
eventually drive him out of business. His family had owned the shop for over
a hundred years, and to lose it would be his undoing, for there was nothing
else he was skilled at. What should he do?
The counselor said, "If you fear the owner of the supermarket, you will hate
him. And hatred will be your undoing. Here is what you are to do: every
morning walk out of your shop onto the footpath and say a prayer of blessing
over your shop, wishing it prosperity. Then turn to the supermarket and
bless it too."
"What! Bless my competitor and destroyer?" "Any blessing you give him will
rebound to your good. Any evil you wish him will destroy you."
After six months the man returned to his counselor to report that he had had
to close down his shop, as he had feared. But now he was in charge of the
supermarket, and his affairs were in much better shape than ever before...
After The Winter God Sends The Spring
By: Helen Steiner Rice
Springtime is a season of hope and joy and
cheer; there's beauty all around us to see
and touch and hear.
So no matter how downhearted and discouraged
we may be, new hope is born when we behold
leaves budding on a tree, or when we see a timid
flower push through the frozen sod and open
wide in glad surprise its petaled eyes to God.
For this is just God saying, " Lift up your eyes
to Me, and the bleakness of your spirit, like the
budding springtime tree, will lose its wintry
darkness, and your heavy heart will sing." For
God never sends the winter without the joy of
spring.
May 21 - Jesus Calling
I, the Creator of the universe, am with you and for you. What more could you need? When you feel some lack, it is because you are not connecting with Me at a deep level. I offer abundant Life; your part is to trust Me, refusing to worry about anything.
It is not so much adverse events that make you anxious as it is your thoughts about those events. Your mind engages in efforts to take control of a situation, to bring about the result you desire. Your thoughts close in on the problem like ravenous wolves. Determined to make things go your way, you forget that I am in charge of your life. The only remedy is to switch your focus from the problem to My Presence. Stop all your striving, and watch to see what I will do. I am the Lord!
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
—Romans 8:31–32
But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.
—Micah 7:7
