Hello my friends! Very warm and windy out today - summer type weather finally! Looks like this coming week will be thunderstorms and rains. Just hope for no violent weather. Today after Mass we had a light lunch, and a very relaxing day. Even played cards. I called the leader of the card club we were on and we're going back with them in the fall. We took a year off and are ready to committ to the club again. Nice people to play cards with. It's the 500 game. Had a nice visit with the leader, she's always very nice to talk to. She organizes everything for it. My blessings today - the Mass, always the most important, and the relaxing and lovely day. Sat out in the swing for awhile.
You will be what you believe that you are and you will become what you
believe you can become. Lord, increase my humility so that I may always
be mindful that the good within comes from You.

M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y
We can turn out all thoughts of doubt and fear and resentment. We
need not tolerate them. We can bar the windows and doors of our minds
against them, as we would bar our homes against a thief who would
steal in to take away our treasures. What greater treasures can we
have than faith and courage and love? All these can be stolen from us
by doubt and fear and resentment. We can face each day with peace and
hope. They are the results of true faith in God. Faith can give us a
feeling of protection and safety that we can get in no other way.
P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y
I pray that I may feel protected and safe, but not only when I am in
the harbor. I pray that I may have protection and safety even in the
midst of the storms of life.

**Not by the beauty of it all,**

**But it was the folks in Heaven**
**who made me sputter and gasp--**
**the thieves, the liars, the sinners,**

Early Morning Prayer
You are the glorious morning,
You are refreshment and peace.
You are the sounds as the dawn breaks,
You are the rose that smells sweet.
You are the Lord, my creator,
You are the wonder of life.
You are the great words of wisdom,
I read them and fill up inside.
You are the wonderful sunrise,
You are restorer of hope.
You are the air that we breathe now,
You are the warm winter coat.
You are the Lord, my creator,
You are a love without end.
You are all grace and forgiveness,
I stand loved and free as your friend.
Prayer for the Guidance During the Day
Oh my God, you know my weakness and failings, and that without your help I can accomplish nothing for the good of souls, my own and others'. Grant me, therefore, the help of your grace, according to my particular needs this day. Enable me to see the tasks you will set before me in the daily routine of my life, and let me set my hand to these tasks with the vigor and joy of one with whom you abide. And if I should face trials, suffering or failure, I pray that your hand will lift me up, and I may be refreshed. In the name of Christ, I pray,
Amen.
Higher Forces
Come into my body
Give me strength, guidance and protection
And please God,
Put a strong protective Light around my body,
And in the name of Jesus,
Cancel all negative thoughts and actions
that are being directed to me,
and eliminate the enemies power
to do any evil to me.
So shall it be.
In Jesus Christ's name I pray,
who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit

May 22 - Jesus Calling
When things don’t go as you would like, accept the situation immediately. If you indulge in feelings of regret, they can easily spill over the line into resentment. Remember that I am sovereign over your circumstances, and humble yourself under My mighty hand. Rejoice in what I am doing in your life, even though it is beyond your understanding.
I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. In Me you have everything you need, both for this life and for the life yet to come. Don’t let the impact of the world shatter your thinking or draw you away from focusing on Me. The ultimate challenge is to keep fixing your eyes on Me, no matter what is going on around you. When I am central in your thinking, you are able to view circumstances from My perspective.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
