Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Hello my friends! Hope you're all are enjoying your Saturday! Next Saturday will be the shower for Darla's twins, and that's just a week away!  Time is flying!  Busy week ahead preparing.  I just got a call from my sister who had knee surgery a month ago, didn't expect her to come, but she said she is!! She's getting a ride with Donna, my niece, who's bringing her Mom, my sister in a wheelchair, she has Parkenson's. So all my sisters will be here!!! Yay!!

When you need to calm your emotions, stop and turn your attention

to God. Lord, I know that You are my help right now and will show me

simple answers to what seems complicated and impossible.

S C R I P T U R E   F O R   T H E   D A Y

"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be
like a wise man who built his house on rock.  The rain fell, the
floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not
fall, because it had been founded on rock."  ~Matthew 7:24-25

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

With God's help, I can build a protective screen around myself which
can keep out all evil thoughts.  I can fashion it out of my attitude
toward God and my attitude toward other people.  When one worrying or
impatient thought enters my mind, I can put it out at once.  I know
that love and trust are the solvents for the worry and frets of life.
I can use them to form a protective screen around me.

P R A Y E R   F O R   T H E   D A Y

I pray that frets and impatience and worry may not corrode my
protective screen against all evil thoughts.  I pray that I may banish
all these from my life.

THEY MISSED HIM!
Author Unknown

They were looking for A Lion, He came as a Lamb, and they missed him.

They were looking for a Warrior, He came as a Peace maker, and they
missed him.

They were looking for a King, He came as a Servant, and they missed
him.

They were looking for Liberation from Rome, He submitted to the Roman
cross, and they missed him.

They were looking for a fit to their mold, He was the mold maker, and
they missed him.

What are you looking for? Lion? Warrior? King? Liberator? What are you
looking for?

They were looking for their temporal needs to be met. He came to meet
their eternal needs, and they missed him.

He came as a Lamb to be sacrificed for your sin. Will you miss him?

He came to make peace between God and man. Will you miss him?

He came to model servanthood for all mankind. Will you miss him?

He came that we might have true Liberty. Will you miss him?

He came to give you eternal life. Will you miss him?

When we submit to the Lamb we will meet the Lion. Join with the
Peacemaker and we will meet the Warrior. Work with the Servant and we
will meet the King. Walk with the Submitted and we will meet the
Liberator. Concern ourselves with the eternal and we will have the
temporal.

If Jesus is not fitting into the mold you have, then come to the mold
maker and get His new one. Submit to His plan for your life and you
will see the eternal need met first, then all the other things you
have need of will be taken care of as well.

DIRECTIONS TO OUR FATHER'S HOUSE.....

Make a right onto "Believeth Blvd.. Keep straight and go through the  Green Light, which is Jesus Christ.

From there, you must turn onto the "Bridge of Faith," which is over troubled waters. When you get off the bridge, make a Right and  Keep Straight. You are on the
"King's Highway" -- Heaven-Bound.

Keep going for three miles: One for the Father, One for the Son and One for the Holy Spirit.

Exit off onto "Grace Blvd." From there, make a Right turn on "Gospel Lane ." Keep straight and then make another Right onto "Prayer Road ."

As you travel on your way, Yield Not to the traffic on
"Temptation  Ave." Also, avoid "Sin Street" because it is a DEAD END!! Pass up  "Envy Drive," and "Hate Avenue." Also, pass "Hypocrisy Road,"  "Gossiping Lane," and "Backbiting Blvd."

However, you must go down "Long Suffering Lane", "Persecution Street"  and "Trials and Tribulations Avenue." But that's all right, because  "VICTORY ROAD" is straight ahead !Amen ! ! !!

Be blessed each and everyone of you.

Think of others

Lord, help me live my life for Thee

to think of others instead of me

and help me give my very best

without regard for need of rest.

Until I've run the race you've set

and every righteous goal is met.

Then will I pause to give thee praise

for all the grace that blessed my days.

Then lovingly will I lay down.

a life of work, to thee a crown,

unworthy token though it be

to you who gave so much for me.

Heavenly Father, we are gathered here today to celebrate the greatest gift conferred by Thee on all of us, the gift of life itself.

We acknowledge that Thou art of the Lord of Life; Thou alone givest and Thou alone taketh it in Thy Own time.

We pray that Thou wilt open the eyes of those who promote abortion, may they realize that life is precious from the moment of its conception in the mother's womb through its natural end.

We know that Thou doth consider life so precious that Thou went so far as sending Thy Son Jesus Christ to suffer and die that we may live not only on this earth but that we may have eternal life with Thee at the hour of our death,

Help us grasp the enormity and the sanctity of this gift and grant us the strength to hold on to this truth until Thou calleth us to life with Thee forever.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Prayer for Peace

Pope John Paul II

To you, Creator of nature and humanity,

of truth and beauty,

I pray:

Hear my voice,

for it is the voice of the victims of all wars

and violence among individuals and nations.

Hear my voice,

for it is the voice of all children who suffer

and will suffer when people put their faith in weapons and war.

Hear my voice,

when I beg you to instill into the hearts of all human beings

the wisdom of peace,

the strength of justice and

the joy of fellowship.

Hear my voice,

for I speak for the multitudes in every country

and every period of history who do not want war

and are ready to walk the road of peace.

Hear my voice,

and grant insight and strength so that we may always respond

to hatred with love,

to injustice with total dedication to justice,

to need with sharing of self,

to war with peace.

O Godhear my voice,

and grant unto the world your everlasting peace.

April 9 -  Jesus Calling

You are Mine for all time; nothing can separate you from My Love. Since I have invested My very Life in you, be well assured that I will also take care of you. When your mind goes into neutral and your thoughts flow freely, you tend to feel anxious and alone. Your focus becomes problem solving. To get your mind back into gear, just turn toward Me, bringing yourself and your problems into My Presence.

Many problems vanish instantly in the Light of My Love, because you realize you are never alone. Other problems may remain, but they become secondary to knowing Me and rejoicing in the relationship I so freely offer you. Each moment you can choose to practice My Presence or to practice the presence of problems.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
—Romans 8:38–39

The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
—Exodus 33:14
