Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Hello my friends!  Marmot, I don't blame you for not cooking a turkey - I'll just make one for four people, and hope to have left overs, Love turkey leftovers.  Need to find a good recipe for cranberries. Have fresh cranberries. Harlene, he seems to like the new dog food.  His other reject dog food is going to Lori's dog, Ollie, who eats everything!  My blessing today - Lori came over for a visit, that's always a blessing!  We are going out to eat tonight with Darla and Greg at our favorite restaurant at seven, another blessing.

Thanks for your prayers for my intentions.

There is much wisdom in knowing what to overlook.  Lord, may I take
every opportunity to praise and choose carefully when I feel the need
to criticize.

"So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love,
and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them."
~John 4:16

A consciousness of God's presence as one who loves us can make all life
different.  The consciousness of God's love can promote the opening of
our whole being to God.  It can bring wonderful relief from the cares
and worries of our daily lives.  Relief can bring peace and peace can
bring contentment.  We can try to walk in God's love.  We can have a
contentment that no one can take from us.  We can feel sure of God's
unfailing love and care for us and for all God's children.  There is
freedom and serenity in those who walk in God's love, held safe in God's
loving care.

I pray that I may walk in God's love.  I pray that, as I go, I may feel
the spring of God's power in my steps and the joy of God's love in my
heart.

A SIMPLE LITTLE PRAYER

* Every single evening
* As I'm lying here in bed
* This tiny little prayer
* Keeps running through my head.
* God bless my mom and dad,
* And other family.
* Keep them warm and safe from harm
* For they're so close to me.
* And God, there is one more thing
* I wish that you could do.
* Hope you don't mind me asking,
* Bless my computer too.
* Now I know that it's not normal
* To bless a mother board,
* But listen just a second
* While I explain to you 'My Lord'.
* You see, that little metal box
* Holds more than odds & ends
* Inside those small compartments
* Rest so many of my FRIENDS.
* I know so much about them
* By the kindness that they give
* And this little scrap of metal
* Takes me in to where they live.
* By faith is how I know them
* Much the same as you
* We share in what life brings us
* And from that our friendship grew.
* Please, take an extra minute
* From your duties up above
* To bless those in my address book
* That's filled with so much love!
* Wherever else this prayer may reach
* To each and every friend,
* Bless each email inbox
* And the person who hits send.
* When you update your heavenly list
* On your own CD-Rom
* Remember each who've said this prayer
* Sent up to God.com.
* Amen.

Aspirations of Love to Jesus Christ

I.
   My Jesus, Thou alone art sufficient for me.

   My love, do not permit me to separate myself from Thee. When shall I be able to say, " My God, I cannot lose Thee any more?"

II.
   Lord, who am I, that Thou shouldst desire so much to be loved by me?

   And whom shall I love, if I love not Thee, my Jesus? Here I am, Lord; dispose of me as Thou pleasest. Give me Thy love; I ask nothing more.

   Make me all Thine before I die.

III.
   Eternal Father, for the love of Jesus Christ have pity on me.

   My God, I wish for Thee alone, and nothing more.

IV.
   O my Jesus! would that I could be entirely spent for Thee, as Thou didst spend Thyself entirely for me!

   If I had died while I was in sin, I could no more have loved Thee; now that I can love Thee, I will love Thee as much as I can.

   To Thee do I consecrate all the remainder of my life. I wish only, and I wish in all things, that which Thou  dost desire.

V.

    When I see Thee for the first time, my Jesus, may it be with a look of mercy.

    May I die rather than ever offend Thee again.

    Thou wilt not leave me, I will not leave Thee; so shall our love endure in this world and in the next.

VI.
    I should be too ungrateful, O my Jesus, if I loved Thee but little, after so many graces.

    Thou didst give Thyself all to me; I give myself all to Thee.

   Thou lovest those that love Thee. I love Thee; do Thou also love me. If I love Thee but little, give Thou me the love Thou requirest of me.

   What hast Thou not done to oblige me to love Thee? Make me conquer all things to please Thee.

VII.
   Accept the love of a soul which has offended Thee so deeply.

   Show me the immense good Thou art, that I may love  Thee exceedingly.

   I desire to love Thee exceedingly in this life, that I may love Thee exceedingly in the next.

VIII.
   I hope to love Thee for all eternity. O Eternal God! Oh that I had always loved Thee! Oh that I had died rather than have offended Thee!

I give Thee my will, my liberty; dispose of me as Thou pleasest.

   May my only happiness be to please Thee, O Infinite Goodness.

   O my God! I rejoice in that Thou art infinitely happy.

IX.
  Thou art omnipotent; make me a Saint.

  Thou hast sought me while I was fleeing from Thee; Thou didst love me when I despised Thy love;
abandon me not, now that I seek Thee and love Thee.

  May I this day give myself wholly to Thee.

X.
  Send me any chastisement, but deprive me not of the power of loving Thee.

  I thank Thee that Thou givest me time to love Thee. I love Thee, my Jesus, I love Thee;
and I hope to die repeating, "I love Thee, I love Thee."

XI.
   I desire to love Thee without reserve, and to do all that I know to be pleasing to Thee.

   I love Thy good pleasure more than all the pleasures of the world.

   I accept all the troubles that may happen to me, provided I love Thee, O my God. O my Jesus! that I could die for Thee, as Thou didst die for me!

XII.
   Oh that I could make all men love Thee as Thou deservest!

   O will of God, thou art my love.

   O God of love, give me love.

XIII.
   O Mary, draw me all to God.

   O my Mother, make me always have recourse to thee.
It is for thee to make me a Saint. This is my hope.

Presentation of Mary - November 21

Presentation of Mary

Heavenly Father, the Blessed Virgin Mary was dedicated to You by her parents when she was three. In the temple, she joined the girls who spent their days praying, reading Scripture, and serving the temple priests. Her holiness was very evident, and the high priest thought that You probably had great plans for her. I ask Mary to pray for the plans You have for my life. Where I have strayed onto a road of my own choosing, give me her hand to guide me back to where You want me. Where I need to wait for a new plan to begin, give me the grace remain patient and say, "Your will be done." Blessed Virgin Mary, pray for me. Amen.

November 21 - Jesus Calling

Thank me throughout this day for My Presence and My Peace. These are gifts of supernatural proportions. Ever since the resurrection, I have comforted My followers with these messagesSmiley Tongueeace be with you, and I am with you always.Listen as I offer you My Peace and Presence in full measure. The best way to receive these glorious gifts is to thank Me for them.

It is impossible to spend too much time thanking and praising Me. I created you first and foremost to glorify Me. Thanksgiving and praise put you in proper relationship with Me, opening the way for My riches to flow into you. As you thank Me for My Presence and Peace, you appropriate My richest gifts.

While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” —Luke 24:36

“… and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” —Matthew 28:20

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name. —Hebrews 13:15

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Hi, I'm glad Sammy likes his new food.

I'm just going to make a roasting chicken for Thanksgiving. It's only  the three of us and we are not to fond of Turkey, but we will have all the trimmings.

Blessings to all.
