Daily Positive Thread for Saturday

Hello my friends!  Hope your Friday went well - and still going great!  It's early yet to enjoy every moment!!  Years and years ago we'd be out dancing every Friday and Sunday nights to Old Time Music - we even did the polkas!!

Now it's wonderful to just stay home and relax!!  Because of the holiday, I don't need to be at Darla's until Thursday, the only day next week.  Friday is my PT appointment again.

It's going to work, I just know it.  Found out that the Monday the 19th, Greg has to be gone a week to his work base in Sevannah, GA - so we'll be there to help Darla out.  Practically live there then!!  Lori will help when she can, too.  The twins are 2 months old today!!  May you all have a great and wonderful weekend!!

People should be able to look at us and see that we are different.  Lord, may
I be an example of Your love and learn to rely on You at all times.

"Your Father who sees in secret will reward you."  ~Matthew 6:4

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

In silence God's meaning can come to the heart.  I need not judge when
it enters the heart.  I can only judge by results.  God's word can be
spoken to the secret places of my heart and, in some hour of
temptation, I can find that word and realize its value for the first
time.  When I need it, I can find it there.  "Your Father who sees in
secret will reward you."

I pray that I may see God's meaning in my life.  I pray that I may
gladly accept what God has to teach me.

Act of Petition
Give me yourself, O my God, give yourself to me. Behold I love you, and if my love is too weak a thing, grant me to love you more strongly. I cannot measure my love to know how much it falls short of being sufficient, but let my soul hasten to your embrace and never be turned away until it is hidden in the secret shelter of your presence. This only do I know, that it is not good for me when you are not with me, when you are only outside me. I want you in my very self. All the plenty in the world which is not my God is utter want. Amen.

Saint Augustine of Hippo

Prayer to be Said by a Sick Person(May be used for a novena)

O Merciful Infant Jesus! I know of Your miraculous deeds for the sick. How many diseases You cured during Your blessed life on earth, and how many venerators of Your Miraculous image ascribe to You their recovery and deliverance from most painful and hopeless maladies. I know, indeed, that a sinner like me has merited his sufferings and has no right to ask for favors. But in view of the innumerable graces and the miraculous cures granted even to the greatest sinners through the veneration of Your holy infancy, particularly in the miraculous statue of Prague or in representations of it, I exclaim with the greatest assurance: O most loving Infant Jesus, full of pity, You can cure me if You will! Do not hesitate, O Heavenly Physician, if it be Your will that I recover from this present illness; extend Your most holy hands, and by Your power take away all pain and infirmity, so that my recovery may be due, not to natural remedies, but to You alone. If, however, You in Your inscrutable wisdom have determined otherwise, then at least restore my soul to perfect health, and fill me with heavenly consolation and blessing, that I may be like You, O Jesus, in my sufferings, and may glorify Your providence until, at the death of my body, You bestow on me eternal life. Amen.

Call His name

In my mind,
Knowing He's there
Never hard to find.

Thanking Him for
Grace, Mercy and Love,
Praising my Father
Who reigns high above.

Not only in bad times
When all things seem wrong,
But Praising my Savior
All day long.

Thank you Father, Son and Holy Spirit
For the Cross of forgiveness
And drawing me near it.

September 2

Living in dependence on Me is a glorious adventure. Most people scurry around busily, trying to accomplish things through their own strength and ability. Some succeed enormously; others fail miserably. But both groups miss what life is meant to be: living and working in collaboration with Me.

When you depend on Me continually, your whole perspective changes. You see miracles happening all around, while others see only natural occurrences and “coincidences.” You begin each day with joyful expectation, watching to see what I will do. You accept weakness as a gift from Me, knowing that My Power plugs in most readily to consecrated weakness. You keep your plans tentative, knowing that My plans are far superior. You consciously live, move, and have your being in Me, desiring that I live in you. I in you, and you in Me. This is the intimate adventure I offer you.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me… For when I am weak, then I am strong.
—2 Corinthians 12:9–10

"“For in him we live and move and have our being.”
—Acts 17:28"

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
—Colossians 2:6–7

“On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”
—John 14:20

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Saturday

The gift of time is so wonderful.  Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.  I am at the museum some today and than no other weekend plans. Cannot wait! the start of school has been fun but a challenge so looking forward to catching up on things around my apartment but also, catching up/resting mentally and physically. Need a little quiet and alone time.

So, enjoy each day, embrace the quiet  moments and many blessings come your way and ordinary miracles.  My ordinary miracles make me smile!

Peace and joy to all, Nancy
