Greetings my friends! Very busy day here today again! We froze 9 quarts of our carrots, after being sliced in the food processor, and 5 pints of raspberries. We had our first visitors this morning - our dear friends, Ray and Ann, wanted to see our apartment and invited themselves over. They gave us a bottle of wine and some ribs. How thoughtful of them. We had a nice visit, then Lori came for lunch and helped with hanging pictures.
Got a lot done today! What blessings can you share with us?
Hail, Virgin and Mother Mary Immaculate All Heaven and earth rejoice and be grateful because God choose you as His mother. I ask you today and forever to pray and protect me. Don't let me a second without your prayer and favour, so that I will stay in grace. Don't let me a second without paying attention to the Most Merciful Heart of Jesus, your Son and let me be your servant.
May all of my power and energy come from True Vine and produce fruit because of your prayers. Salute and honour for you, the Most blessed among all creation, O Virgin and Mother Mary.

Just for today, Lord
I will live through the next 12 hours and not try to tackle all of life's problems at once.
I will improve my mind. I will learn something useful. I will learn something that requires effort, thought, and concentration.
I will be agreeable. I will look my best, speak in well-modulated voice, be courteous and considerate.
I will not find fault with friend, relative or colleague. I will not try to change or improve anyone other than myself.
I will have a program. I might not follow it exactly, but I will have it. I will save myself from two enemies, hurry and indecision.
I will do a good turn and keep it secret. If anyone finds out, it won't count.
I will do two things I don't want to do. Just for exercise.
I will believe in myself. I will give my best to the world and feel confident that the world will give it's best to me.
In the first reading, St. Paul writes a very endearing letter to Timothy telling him about the great love and mercy the Lord has bestowed on him. St. Paul knows himself very well, his weaknesses and sins, and after the Lord called him, acknowledging this reality made it clear to him that every work he does and every word he speaks is not from his own effort. His humanity is so frail that he constantly needs the Lord’s mercy for him to go on. His capability to preach and the courage to go on regardless of the threat to his life is not his own but the Lord working through him and for this he is ever grateful to the Lord for giving him a greater life to live than he could ever know.
Do we know ourselves completely like St. Paul that we are able to acknowledge that any good deed or good word or good thought that comes from us is not of our own effort but from God?
In the Gospel reading we are invited to take a deep look at ourselves before we judge others, before we think ourselves better than the other. It is only through the Lord’s grace and mercy that we can acknowledge our weaknesses and failures before we even dare to judge others for their faults and weaknesses.
September 11 - Jesus Calling
Rejoice in Me always! No matter what is going on. This is the secret of being content in all circumstances. So many people dream of the day when they will finally be happy: when they are out of debt, when their children are out of trouble, when they have more leisure time, and so on. While they daydream, their moments are trickling into the ground like precious balm spilling wastefully from overturned bottles.
Fantasizing about future happiness will never bring fulfillment, because fantasy is unreality. Even though I am invisible, I am far more Real than the world you see around you. My reality is eternal and unchanging. Bring your moments to Me, and I will fill them with vibrant Joy. Now is the time to rejoice in My Presence!
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! … I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

Hello Gloria and Hello to All!
Another very warm day here with lots of errands to run this weekend. Every day is a blessing and I had some very good sleep which to me is a wonderful blessing. Now, I start my day.

Love Roses, today was a nice day, not cool and not warm. Although I was indoors all day doing more settling. Everyday is indeed a blessing and I got a lot done today again! Praise the Lord!

Yes, Harlene, I did a lot more things today to get more settled. Re-arranging things to make it work better. Finding more things! That's always a positive sign.
