Hello my friends! At Mass today Father asked all the Veterans to stand up, my husband was one of them, and then all those who lost loved ones in the service to our Country, I stood up - my Dad was in WWI. My brother in law was in WW2. Then he said a prayer and sang the blessing song on us. He had a big flag there by the altar. It is the Feast of Corpus Christi today - The Body and Blood of Christ. What a wonderful homily he gave! He talked about a Host that turned to blood, and some scientists examined it, and it was a type AB, I think, and it was from the Heart. Wow! How fortunate we are to be able to receive Him at Mass - His Body and Blood, our spiritual food. We served cupcakes and cookies with coffee after Mass, for fellowship. Got to visit a bit with Father David. Trying to make arrangements for him to come for lunch on Friday. He has to check his schedule. I'll email him and get it set up.

Never stop praying no matter how hopeless your case may seem. Pray before
you start your day and when you end it. Pray before you begin a task. Lord, I
thank You for all of Your blessings. Together we can do all that I must.

M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y
There is great joy in living the spiritual life. A faith without joy is
not entirely genuine. If we are not happier as a result of our faith,
there is probably something wrong. Faith in God can bring us a deep
feeling of happiness and security, no matter what happens on the surface
of our life. Each new day is another opportunity to serve God and
improve our relationships with other people. This can bring joy. Life
can be abundant and outreaching. It can be glowing and outgoing, in
ever widening circles.
P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y
I pray that my horizons may grow ever wider. I pray that I may keep
reaching out for more service and companionship.
Prayer to the Most Holy Heart of Jesus
Most holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I love You. With a lively sorrow for my sins I offer You this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, and pure, and perfectly obedient to Your Will.
Good Jesus, grant that I may live in You and for You. Protect me in the midst of danger and comfort me in my afflictions. Bestow on me health of body, assistance in temporal needs, Your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Amen.
THE LOVE OF GOD
We can talk an hour about it, but not have it.
No vessel can contain it all.
No tongue can explain it all.
It is only explained by living it, and retained by giving it.
When we share it, then we have more than we had;
Withhold it and we have less.
It has no competitors or equals.
Death cannot claim it, but only proclaim it.
Persecution only brings it to the surface.
It turns every experience into a privilege.
It works best under pressure.
It has no faults or failures.
It can turn every living sacrifice into a reasonable service. It has been
cradled in a manger, crucified on a cross, resurrected from a tomb, and
carried into heaven.
I admire it in others, I desire it from others, I require it for others,
but I can only acquire it from God.

Somebody cares and always will---
the world forgets, but God loves you still.
You cannot go beyond His love no matter what you're
guilty of, for God forgives until the end. He is your faithful,
loyal friend.
And though you try to hide your face, there is no shelter
any place that can escape His watchful eye, for on the earth
and in the sky, He's ever present and always there to take you
in His tender care.
And He'll bind the wounds and mend the breaks, when all
the world around you forsakes. Somebody cares and loves
you still, and God is the Someone who always will.
May 29 - Jesus Calling
I am with you, watching over you constantly. I am Emmanuel (God with you); My Presence enfolds you in radiant Love. Nothing, including the brightest blessings and the darkest trials, can separate you from Me. Some of My children find Me more readily during dark times, when difficulties force them to depend on Me. Others feel closer to Me when their lives are filled with good things. They respond with thanksgiving and praise, thus opening wide the door to My Presence.
I know precisely what you need to draw nearer to Me. Go through each day looking for what I have prepared for you. Accept every event as My hand-tailored provision for your needs.When you view your life this way, the most reasonable response is to be thankful. Do not reject any of My gifts; find Me in every situation.
