Greetings my friends! Hope you all had a blessed Sunday! At Mass this morning, yes, even a full Church in -15 degree weather, one of our parishioners gave a little talk of his journey in his desires of becoming a priest. He's in the Seminary. Very good talk, we've seen him grow up!! Other than that, a very relaxing laid back day today, Vikings watched by my husband, I had a nap with Sammy, made a good supper out of leftovers. Did you know that left over corn, and left over green beans are good mixed in left over mashed potatoes and heated up on the stove with a little butter in it? Wonderful!! Just enough for our meal. The pork chops were great too, fried in coconut oil, and roasted a while in the skillet, little water added, and it was so tender, put some barbeque sauce on top, delicious!! Sorry if I talk too much about food.
I know You are my Saviour, You've set me free from sin and shame. But only because I asked You to forgive, Will my life never be the same.
I know You are my Provider, And that You will supply my every need; But only of my necessity, Not my want and not my greed.
I know You are my Shepherd, Who will keep me safe from harm. And as long as I choose to follow You, You will shelter me 'neath Your arm.
I know You are my sword and shield, And my strong and mighty tower. But I need to admit my weakness Lord, So You can reveal Your awesome power.
I know You are my well-spring of joy, And You are the source of peace. And as long as I trust in You alone, From fear and sorrow You'll bring release.
I know You are my all in all, And I will follow no one but You. And as I continue to walk in Your ways, I know You'll be just and true.
I know You are faithful and cannot lie, And I can believe all the promises You made. So forever I'll trust in You. And from now on I'll not be afraid.
When things go wrong ...
St. Francis' Prayer of Discernment Said Before the Crucifix
Most High, glorious God,
enlighten the darkness of my heart,
and give me right faith,
certain hope,
and perfect charity,
wisdom and understanding,
Lord, that I may carry out
your holy and true command.
Amen.
January 10 - Jesus Calling
Every time you affirm your trust in Me, you put a coin into My treasury. Thus you build up equity in preparation for days of trouble. I keep safely in My heart all trust invested in Me, with interest compounded continuously. The more you trust Me, the more I empower you to do so.
Practice trusting Me during quiet days, when nothing much seems to be happening. Then when storms come, your trust balance will be sufficient to see you through. Store up for yourself treasure in heaven, through placing your trust in Me. This practice will keep you in My Peace.
When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
—Psalm 56:3–4
“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
—Matthew 6:20–21

Don't be sorry Gloria.
Talking about food is probably one of the
best things we can talk about these days.
Blessings to all.

Good morning,
LOL, Harlene, I laughed reading that food was probably the best thing we could talk about. Sometimes that is true. Mashed taters with green beans and corn sounds tasty, of course, butter makes it better.
Yesterday, I cooked a big beef roast with veggies and leftovers will make soup for today's supper. Big pan of cornbread. Yum.
I've never felt minus degree weather, Gloria. I'm fussing about these 20's we have. Brrr is all I can say.
Have a beautiful day everyone. Keep warm and stay grateful for all our blessings.

Lucy that all sounds good to me too.
Gloria, Lucy is right BRRRRR. I don't know how The Vikings
and the Seahawks played in that weather.
I was getting the chills just watching them.
Blessings to all.

Oh it's still -15 - was this morning, getting a bit warmer, but back down again tonight. It gets lower too. Nice and warm inside.
Sammy is not a big fan of going out there! Nice to see you, Harlene and Lucy!!
