Among Friends

Hello my friends! Back from a nice weekend with my sisters and very grateful for my dear husband who made this all possible.  We had a wedding on Saturday afternoon too, and it was a great blessing to me that at the reception my whole family was with us sitting in the large booth - and having a good time!  Praise the Lord!!

Good is always coming to you. No matter what is happening in your life,

you can bless it with prayer and be peaceful. Lord, You give me the courage

to face any situation confidently and victoriously.

"Other seed fell into good soil and brought forth grain, growing up

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y 

God's kingdom on earth is growing slowly, like a seed in the ground.
In the growth of God's kingdom there is always progress among the few
who are out ahead of the crowd.  We can keep striving for something
better and there does not need to be stagnation in our lives.  Eternal
life, abundant life can be ours for the seeking.  We need not misspend
time over past failures. We can count the lessons learned from
failures as rungs upon the ladder of progress.  We can press onward
toward the goal.

P R A Y E R   F O R   T H E   D A Y 

I pray that I may be willing to grow.  I pray that I may keep stepping
up on the rungs of the ladder of life.

I am

I am what I am because of God not me, I Am is the one determined my destiny.

I Am knew me before I was born, and supplies me new life each new dawn.

I Am is the Father the Creator of man, Tis He who molds me with His hand.

Tis He who beckons until we find, the awesome truth that gives peace of mind.

Tis He who helps us understand, and supplies the faith so we accept His plan.

His plan by which our sins are forgiven, and a whole new life we start living.

I am nothing myself a no one on my own, I do no good when I stand alone.

But surrendered completely to I Am, I become a part of the Great Master Plan.

I am but an instrument I Am can use, as I share His love and expound His views.

Prayer in time of Loneliness

Lord Jesus Christ, I am assailed by a spell of loneliness. It is as if I am totally alone, without anyone in the world. It is a terrifying feeling, Lord; help me to overcome it. Let me realize that I am never really alone. I am united with You -- for You are always with me.

At the same time, remind me that I also have need of others, for I am a social being. And there are many people whom You have brought into my life to help me on my way to eternity. Teach me to see that we need one another if we are to make a go of our lives and complete the tasks You have given us.

Our Father - We are made brothers and sisters in Christ.

Who art in heaven - We belong with our Father and heaven is our home.

Hallowed be Thy Name -  Your name is Father and we are to be your obedient children.

Thy kingdom come - We look forward to being with you completely, living your way.

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven - We want to follow your will wholeheartedly, without hesitation or reservation, like the saints.

Give us this day our daily bread - We recognize that we are completely dependent on you and need you to sustain us.

Forgive us our trespasses - We thank you for your patience with us when we stray from your way.

As we forgive those who trespass against us - We need your guidance to love those who mistreat us.

Lead us not into temptation - Strengthen our love for you so that turning away from you will be unappealing to us.

Deliver us from evil - Protect us from any forces, external or internal, that try to keep us from You.

Amen. 

Jesus Calling

Look to Me continually for help, comfort, and companionship. Because I am always by your side, the briefest glance can connect you with Me. When you look to Me for help, it flows freely from My Presence. This recognition of your need for Me, in small matters as well as in large ones, keeps you spiritually alive.

When you need comfort, I love to enfold you in My arms. I enable you not only to feel comforted but also to be a channel through whom I comfort others. Thus you are doubly blessed, because a living channel absorbs some of whatever flows through it.

My constant Companionship is the pièce de résistance: the summit of salvation blessings. No matter what losses you experience in your life, no one can take away this glorious gift.

I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. —Psalm 34:4–6

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. —Psalm 105:4

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. —2 Corinthians 1:3–4

Hello To All!

Glad you're back from such an enjoyable time Gloria. 

"Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread" - So very true for me.  I acknowledge daily my thanks and appreciation for my meals and other daily needs.  I may get jabs but I don't care.  I truly give thanks for my meals and appreciate any and all who helped to bring my meal to my table including any and all the animals who gave their life, flesh, or product for my sustenance.  And so it is.

Always grateful for this nation, her people, her outstanding troops, her rights, liberties, and privleges.  Daily, we all make history.  We strive to live noble lives and that matters.  We stirve to make each day better and to one day leave this planet in a better condition for us being here.  

Know you are loved.  Be at peace.
