Greetings my friends! Linus used the new George Forman grill for the first time here tonight for pork chops, it was great!! He ordered it some time ago on Amazon, but we didn't use it much because he did the grilling on our gas grill in the patio. I told him he can do all the grilling on the George Forman. The trays come out to wash or put in dishwasher. Tonight's supper was all from the garden again, except for the pork chops. Potatoes and beets. Another positive thing for today was that his brother, Ron, helped him move our gas grill over to Lori's, and he was here to see the apartment and I made some hamburger soup for lunch, instead of hamburger it was ground turkey and very good - healthy too, with veggies from the garden! Making good use of them. Another positive - Pope Francis is coming to the US - Philly. Wish I could be watching him, but so far we haven't been able to get the TV working with antenna, maybe by then we can and then we will be watching him. Wish I could meet him!!
Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for (mention name) who is suffering from cancer.
If it is God's will, I ask that this day, the gift of healing be granted to (name). Comfort him/her during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him/her peace and patience in suffering.
May God give (name) the fullness of life here on earth, or call him/her home to eternal glory forever. Amen.
Do it Today
In a class I teach for adults, I gave the assignment to "go
to someone you love, and tell them that you love them." At the
beginning of the next class, one of the students began by saying, "I
was angry with you last week when you gave us this assignment. I
didn't feel I had anyone to say those words to. But as I began driving
home my conscience started talking. Then I knew exactly who I
needed to say `I love you' to.
Five years ago, my father and I had a vicious disagreement and never
really resolved it. We avoided seeing each other unless we absolutely
had to at family gatherings. We hardly spoke. So by the time I got
home, I had convinced myself I was going to tell my father I loved him.
"Just making that decision seemed to lift a heavy load off my chest.
"At 5:30, I was at my parents' house ringing the doorbell, praying that
Dad would answer the door. I was afraid if Mom answered, I would
chicken out and tell her instead. But as luck would have it, Dad did
answer the door. "I didn't waste any time - I took one step in the door
and said, `Dad, I just came over to tell you that I love you.' "It was as
if a transformation came over my dad. Before my eyes his face
softened, the wrinkles seemed to disappear and he began to cry. He
reached out and hugged me and said, `I love you too, son, but I've
never been able to say it.' "But that's not even my point. Two days
after that visit, my dad had a heart attack and is in the hospital. I don't
even know if he'll make it. "So my message to all of you is this: Don't
wait to do the things you know need to be done. What if I had waited
to tell my dad? Take the time to do what you need to do and do it
now!"

You will not find My Peace by engaging in excessive planning: attempting to control what will happen to you in the future. That is a commonly practiced form of unbelief. When your mind spins with multiple plans, Peace may sometimes seem to be within your grasp; yet it always eludes you. Just when you think you have prepared for all possibilities, something unexpected pops up and throws things into confusion.
I did not design the human mind to figure out the future. That is beyond your capability. I crafted your mind for continual communication with Me. Bring Me all your needs, your hopes and fears. Commit everything into My care. Turn from the path of planning to the path of Peace.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Tonight we went swimming, used the hot tub, he used the sauna, and it was an enjoyable time, we were the only ones at the pool. It sure tired me out and I should sleep good tonight!

Hello Gloria! I guess I'm late in welcoming you back. You were missed. How did the move go? Take care and we will talk soon.

Gloria, happy to hear you and Linus are settleing in nicely in you new apartment.
Yes the Pope is coming to Philly. We live just outside of Philly. It would be nice to go and see him, but you would not believe the mess the people who run Philadelphia have made of his visit. Most people are so confused.
I know we will be seeing a lot of his visit here on TV.
I'm a little baffeled by one of the post here, maybe I misunderstood it.
He seems to be a very nice person and he is very down to earth.
Blessings to all.

Hi Gloria, glad to hear things are going good at your new apartment.
Everything went fine yesterday and hopefully his kidney stones are gone. Recuperation should go smoothly.
thank you Gloria and Harlene for your prayers and everyone else who did so.
another beautiful Fall day here in PA. Wish I was close enough to see Pope Francis in person too. Guess I'll have to be content to watch on tv. Blessings to all....Marmot
