@sarahpanda  I am so very, very sorry for the passing of your dear husband. You must've had so many great years together and you gave him the compassionate gift of being with him during his passing.  Feel free to feel whatever you need to feel, whenever you need to feel- the full array of human emotion.  I agree with others, a grief support group could help you whenever you're ready and I think that individual therapy seesions could also help you through navigating the grief too.  I hope and pray for you during this time. You sound like a very strong, loving, kind, and thoughtful woman- a beautiful person inside and out and we're all here for you, Sarahpanda.

@SportyShorty07   Thank you for your kind and encouraging words.  My life now is like trying to row a boat with no oars...just ''adrift'.

@sarahpanda  You're welcome, Sarahpanda. Your analogy of your current feelings of life being like a row boat adrift without oars is very insightful to say. Your introspection, intelligence and courage in facing and expressing your emotions will help you through this. You have every right and reason to feel adrift now- use this time to feel everything you need to feel and take it day by day. I think that slowly and surely as you navigate grief, I do believe that the oars will float back to you in this sea of water that is life and you'll reach for those oars to the left and right of you and row and row as the sun warms your shoulders and your head is held high looking and moving forward. We're here for you, dear Sarahpanda. Heart

@sarahpanda   My husband passed away quite a few years ago at a young age.   I guess the only advice I have would be  to get through one minute at a time and pretty soon you will be getting through longer periods.   My deepest sympathy to you.

My deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear husband. What a sweet, memorable gift he gave you when he squeezed your hand; a true gift of his love for you. I know your tears will turn to smiles as time goes by. Please know it will take time and I am sure he knew you were right there beside him until he passed and he felt blessed to have you with him.

So Sorry for your loss! I can't imagine your pain., but please take your time to adjust to it all. Maybe eventually check into a Grief Group if you feel you need to.

My sister's husband passed away, and they have no children or grand children, and she is still really struggling as well. She did join Silver Sneakers and that has helped a bit...

Take your time, do a little each and every day. God Bless!!

@sarahpanda I'm so sorry to read about the loss of your husband.  I know nothing I can say will make you feel better, but I'm hoping this might help.  My husband passed away a few years ago and I remember reading back then that  "Grieving is a necessary passage and a difficult transition to finally letting go of sorrow...it is not a permanent rest stop."

Grieve whatever way works for you.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.
