Customer Service or Tech Support Help

This applies to getting through to Customer Support or  Tech Support without listening to all the Prompts!  I had an issue with my PC Router & Modem & had to return both to my provider.  When I tried to install both I ran into problems because there were no instructions.  I called their number 3 times & got nowhere until finally I got to talk to a nice guy who said "you didn't hear this from me but next time just interrupt the prompts by hitting O for operator & you will be connected to someone who can help you"!!!  He solved my problem immediately & was so nice to talk to!!  Sometimes Customer Service is an oxymoran but not this time!!!

@gaga Yes, that solution has actually been around for years. However, many businesses have caught on and you can't bypass the prompts any longer by pressing "O" to get directly to a live person. Glad it worked in your case though.

@gaga.  The dial "O" for operator is an old trick that used to work.  However answering systems have gotten more sophisticated and now you're most likely going to be told that it's not an option.  Hasn't worked for me for a long time.

I'm not a patient person and get so annoyed listening to all of the endless promps.  I have been doing this for years....just hit the department, etc. that you want.

This works for the Q as well.  You want customer service and to speak with someone?  Just hit 2 for CS right away then 0.  Don't bother listening to all of the promps!

@cjm61 and @Kachina624 are correct.about dialing the O, a lot of systems just tell you that isn't a valid option until they get to telling you to dial if for a rep.  Just depends on the system used.

I don't know a provider, company or entity that doesn't have all that junk on it now.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.
