Good Monday morning all!

I dont remember what brand but some time during the night I saw pj's with a cowl neck.  I could NOT wear a cowl neck to sleep in at all, I cant even wear one when Im awake.

I would feel like Im choking to death.

And I am the opposite.  Whether it is just lounging around or out in the cold, having my neck covered keeps me so much warmer without the need for a scarf.  For the winter I rarely buy PJs without some kind of collar.

Just the thought of such a thing around my neck while I'm trying to sleep makes me feel like I'm wanna choke.

I can’t sleep in a cowl neck top but it would be perfect for lounge wear on cold, stay-at-home days.

The cowl neck wouldn't be too bad, I suppose. I'm just wondering about sleeping with all that extra fabric. The thing that really has me thinking, "huh", is the ones with hoods. I would absolutely choke myself during the night with a hood, not to mention how uncomfortable it would be when I turn over onto my back during the night. Guess both of these are more for lounging than sleeping and I prefer not to use nightclothes during the day. Maybe it's my age.

I don't like pj's at all because it feels like sleeping fully dressed and that feels constricting but a cowl neck...good grief, I'd feel like I was bound and being strangled.

You might be referring to the Carole Hochman waffle texture novelty fleece pj's with the cowl top.  I have them on right now.  It is a loose cowl neckline. They are very comfortable but very warm.  I could never wear these to bed and sometimes they are too hot to have on in the house.  I'm comfy now because we're waiting for the furnace man for a check-up.  The fabric is nice but I think it's going to pill like crazy and it definitely attracts my 2 girls' fur.

one of my pet peeves is hoods on robes.  what the heck do you need a hood on a bathrobe for?   the cowl neck pj reminds me of that.
