I love Corelle , it's so lightweight We use it here daily. I don't care for heavy dinnerware-

QVC pulled the Corelle video from the website.

But you can still see it on their QVC Live Facebook page under the ITKWD post of the whole show!

I wonder if the make up has changed over the 40 plus years since I bought my Corelle. I've been fortunate to never have a piece shatter, though I do have an ever so small chip on one plate.

I wonder if the plate dropping had been rehearsed. I imagine different floors could bring about different results.

That's what I was thinking that they did a test drive on a different floor.

Also thinking the same thing maybe the composition has changed as I've never had a break either in many years.

With my messed up hands, Corelle is the only kind of dinnerware that I can handle. Other kinds are just too heavy and too thick to pick up. Love my lightweight Corelle. All of mine is Winter White.

My set is Winter White too, love it.  Think I bought it at Walmart many many years ago.  Nice to see they're still making it.

Looks like they will need to update the product description from Corelle 16 Piece Service for 4 Dinnerware Set, to Corelle 500 Piece Service for 3 Dinnerware Set.

I like Corelle, and have some white Corelle mugs, plates, and bowls that were made in the USA.

I threw away all my Corelle.  My husband was actually cut by an exploding dropped dish.  I dropped one a,few months ago also, it exploded too.  This time out it goes.  Would not give it to charity because I don't want anyone else cut by those dishes. Advised my family to throw them out.

Hmmm @MoJoV

@Etoile308 was speculating and I'm thinking the same thing that the composition / materials may have changed.

I would think that if you have ceramic/porcelain tile or cement flooring then that can be a reason for Corelle to break if you drop it there. Vinyl or wood not so much.

I have a whole set of Corelle dishes that I use everyday.  Absolutely love them!

Mine were made in USA and states on the bottom of dishes, break and chip resistant.
