I've had Corelle as my everyday dishes for over 30 years and in that time I've only had one break. And yes they do shatter into a million pieces. I've dropped many over the years, but only had one break. I guess it all depends on the angle they hit the floor.

I have several pieces and I like it. It's light weight and is durable. They should have tested one before the show. Now it won't sell. I bought a set at a thrift shop for $8. Brand new. Callaway pattern with ivy.

I have a lot of pieces from the last 25 years in Callaway, including a tea kettle. Redid my kitchen back then in hunter green and white and fell in love with Callaway.

I think that was a very stupid thing to demo on the air, to deliberately throw it down a hard floor.  Like an old silly sitcom

That’s the pattern I have. I’ve had them for a long time. In my former home I had the ivy pattern above my kitchen cupboards so I was kind of tickled to find these. They were great while raising a family.

I've used mine for 35 years.  I've dropped a bowl of cereal once, it did not break.  My Corelle seems thick, although lightweight.  Pattern is Lace Bouquet.  Still love it after all these years.

Shortly after we were married I bought a set of Corelle in gold, the only color in stock. We used it for a few years. I eventually donated all of it EXCEPT my platter. I still have it and we still use it, mostly for DH to carry things back and forth to and from the grill. It has been dropped many times, and there is not a mark on it.

I watched the video. Jennifer kept her composure and David, with his quick thinking and humor, was kind.  Smiley Happy

I dropped a Corelle dinner plate on its edge & it exploded, pieces flew on top of the refrigerator, stove, the table on the other side of our eat in kitchen, all over the floor & a small piece got stuck in my leg....I couldn't believe that happened. I use my discontinued pattern Country Morning everyday, love it.
