@SilleeMee actually, I was pleasantly surprised how good it is. I had to buy some instant for my brother, who is in a boarding home that serves one cup of coffee a day. He keeps instant on hand in bedroom, for that extra cup, lol. I tried it...and I was amazed . I am not a coffee snob, hate Starbucks, love Peet's. But I do appreciate a nice bold, but not bitter cup of coffee

I know! I was surprised, too. I hadn't bought instant coffee in ages until recently and I was shocked how good it tastes.

@SilleeMee I got the freeze dried. But my husband went on a two week motorcycle trip this week. He took those Folgers instant, little packettes...they are fabulous. I have some left here, so we will save them to throw in car when we travel, in case. Each packet makes one good cup on coffee

Yes, that's the one I got...Folgers freeze dried instant coffee.

Very interesting to me to hear the opinions on instant coffee. I haven't had instant coffee in 10 years and may just try some to have on hand for emergencies. Always like to learn something new!

My favorite coffee on Amazon went up about 30% this week. I happened to run across a sale for half that price at Walmart so ordered a bunch.
I'm not surprised at the price increase since new tariffs hit this week. We always pay tariffs at the checkout.
@CalminHeart So if we pay, how does this punish them, lol
It doesn't punish them. That's the point.

Seriously? I think I already answered you. No, it punishes consumers. It's a tax on U.S. consumers.
Economics 101 -- Importers pay tariffs. Importers pass tariff costs on to buyers. Biuyers pass tariff costs on and on until they hit the stores. The stores increase prices of tariffs to cover their costs. You pay the tariffs when checking out.

My local grocery store sell Barnie's Santa's White Christmas all year round. I just noticed this week a price increase from $9.99 to $11.99 a bag ![]()

It harm's middle and lower income consumers who cannot afford to feed their families and pay their rent and mortgages. It increases shop lifting by those who no longer can afford groceries. It benefits corporations when it forces independent and small businesses to close.
