Does anyone know what "no- fault" insurance is?

Decades ago I had one car accident and insurance dropped me and Allstate gave me a better quote and when I bought a new home I used them for homeowners as well.
Summer of 2016 I was having a home built and called to drop homeowners on the house sold since I'd be in an apt while new house being built. Agent told me he'd contact me in 8 months for homeowners on my new home so we'd be ready. I'd long ago moved car insurance to Geico so called them for renters insurance while in an apt. When home was finished Geico's estimate for homeowners on my new home would be $800 cheaper than I was paying for my old home (and the cost of both homes was only $5,000 difference and very similar construction materials AND I'd never had a claim filed on my old home).
Months later - agent called back and said he could give me a really good deal if I was willing to move ALL my insurances to him - and then gave me an estimate for a lousy $50 break on homeowners. Told him I'd already moved all my insurances to Geico AND planned on using them for my new home and he told me he'd go away and rerun the numbers and was sure he could do better.
My response - "uh, no, if you aren't willing to give me your best estimate the first time around, I'm not willing to play stupid number games!" I was mad at myself bc where I'd become complacent was my mortgage was PITI so insurance was embedded into the monthly payment so I never paid much attention to how much homeowners was being raised each year bc when the bills came each renewal time they'd say -"no payment needed, mortgage company has been billed" - easy to overlook cuz it was just being handled for me. Argh!

In NJ it's called Personal Injury Protection.
My insurance company will pay my medical bills if I were injured in an accident regardless of who was at fault, up to the limit I have chosen.

In MI whether you are "at fault" or not in a car accident your insurance pays both health and collison. There are some cases but in most cases you can not sue the other person. It is the law.
